The minimum downrod (which is sturdy metal, not rope) length of about 12 inches is short enough to allow for ample clearance, if you have ceilings that are high enough (at least 8 feet). The fixture has a heavy, durable glass shade that allows maximum light to pass through and illuminate a wide area. The overall size of the fixture is perfect for my small space, as it would be for a small room.The design of the fixture is simple and understated but still elegant and attractive. The ripple glass is just enough to elevate this pendant light and complement my décor.
