Good price for a decent product. These are very professional looking when installed correctly. Installation and mounting is easy, and works great when you want to butt up to your trim and have your display lights perfectly straight. Looks WAY better than the cheaper stick-on kind.Putting these together is easy enough. The different pieces are made to fit together smoothly and tightly. This makes installing and mounting them a relative breeze if you know what you're doing.Definitely a product if you want a DIY project with a professional result.

Received this 6-pack of plaster-in LED channels, and while I haven't installed them yet, the build quality out of the box is promising. The aluminum construction feels sturdy and well-made — these don't feel like thin, flimsy trim pieces that will bend or dent easily during handling or installation. The overall look is clean and professional, consistent with what you'd want for a trimless, recessed lighting install where the goal is for the channel to disappear into the wall or ceiling rather than look like an obvious add-on strip light.At 3.3ft (1m) each, the 6-pack gives a reasonable amount of channel to work with for a cove lighting or wall-edge project, and the milky diffuser included with each piece looks like it should do a good job of softening and evening out the LED strip light rather than showing hot spots.I haven't yet installed these into drywall, so I can't speak to how they perform once plastered in — key things I'll be watching for include how easily they integrate into the mudding/ finishing process, whether the trimless design achieves a truly seamless look once painted, and how well the diffuser holds up to light output and any yellowing over time.

I highly recommend install LED channel for any LED strip lighting applications. Couple reasons; it acts as a heat sink, allowing the strip to operate cooler, extending its life; it diffuses the LED dots, making for smoother light; and it also protects the strip from damage.This one is the 13mm wide, LED strips are generally 8mm, 10mm, or 12mm wide with 10mm most commonly used, especially for the standard white strips, 12mm is more typically found in your RGB strips. You will want to check your actual strip to ensure this will work. You can use a narrower strip in this wider channel.This one is a plaster in place, so unless you are handy at doing drywall finishing, plan on hiring a professional to complete the install. I do find the location of the plaster strip a little odd for drywall mudding it in, but maybe you knowhow you plan to install yours.Recommended buy

I picked up this 6-pack of plaster-in LED channels to use in a custom wall unit I am building, with the plan to inset these diffuser strips right around the edges. The 6-pack provides a full 6 meters (about 19.8 feet) of material, which was more than enough to adequately cover my entire project.Here is how they are working out for my custom build:Versatile Installation (My Wood Trim Hack): While these are specifically designed for a plaster-in drywall installation, they work exceptionally well for custom carpentry. I am using wood trim to hide the mounting flange instead of plaster. It creates a beautiful, clean, built-in light line with almost no visible aluminum frame.Easy to Customize & Assemble: The aluminum channels are very easy to cut with a hacksaw or miter saw to fit your exact project lengths. Once sized, assembly is a breeze—you simply place your LED strip inside the channel, snap on the milky diffuser, and secure it.Complete Hardware Kit: It is great that the set includes everything you need right out of the box. Along with the 6 channels and diffusers, it comes with 12 end caps, mounting screws, and wall anchors.Whether you are using them for their intended drywall applications (like ceiling edges and cove lighting) or adapting them for custom wood furniture like I am, this is a high-quality, easy-to-use kit that yields highly professional results.

"Rarely seen except in high end architechtural locations, this element can make a great statement in your home. The options for use are endless. Accent strip down a hallway, outlining a home theatre screen, ceiling accent for night light. This item can be found as a set with various quantities, this set is 6 pieces totaling almost 20 feet (6 meters)This should prove to be an easy element to add while doing new construction but would be difficult to add after the fact. For new installs, simply mount this strip where you want it, then install the drywall around it. This can be trimmed to length if 1 meter isn't what you need, made of aluminum can be cut with heavy duty sheers or a hacksaw.You'll need to drill holes for wiring and needs to be done before install. The wiring would be hard to do with a retrofit, so be prepared for more work than you think to get it run. As mentioned elsewhere, please make sure you have the LED strips that will fit the width and length you require. But you can't install them until after you finish the drywall, just run the required wiring first.Getting drywall mud in the channel shouldn't be much of a concern as it's easily cleaned off of aluminum, but add wire nuts to the wires to protect them if you won't have access to the back side of the wall.If you take all this into account, a beginner DIYer should be able to do some of this. If your still learning, consider doing the electrical for this last so you have experience, same with drywall work. Especially if you are considering odd layouts.This does require attaching to studs, so if you're wanting vertical runs, keep that in mind and run cross braces where required.This unit has one advantage, it can be used at the end of a drywall section that will but up against an item that won't support a flange behind it like other models I've seen.For the cost versus difficulty, it's a 5 for cost and while this item alone is not difficult, it's the job that will be hard. The results have the potential to be a 10. I'd like to see someone use programmable LED's to support a variety of options, am I just dreaming... not with this starting point."

Made in China. These plaster-in LED light channels are just extruded aluminum with rough holes punched in them for the addition of plaster to hold them in place. I do not like the roughness with which the plaster holes were made because they will easily cut you if you move your hands up or down the material quickly. The only thing I can equate them to is the edge of a cheese grater. The metal is unfinished and doesn't appear that it will hold a coat of paint well without sanding or stripping any glazing off of the material from the manufacturing process. These will likely work in holding LED strips in place and will stay up if properly plastered, but I would not recommend unless you know what you're getting into with these, they are not beginner friendly.
