I did not mount this on the wall, and that is fine because it stands on its own just as well. I am using it in the kitchen to hold ziploc bags and the other items I use for my freeze dryer, and it keeps everything in one place and easy to see. The steel is sturdy and it does not dent, and the wooden lid on top adds a little extra space for smaller things. It is a simple basket, but it keeps the counter from looking like a mess. If you have supplies you reach for all the time, this is a good way to keep them organized.
