Heavy-Duty and Solid Post Brackets

[Color: Black, Size: 4"x 4", Number of Items: 2]
These post bases are much heavier and sturdier than I expected. The steel feels substantial, and I like that they're made from thick material rather than feeling lightweight or flimsy. The black finish also gives them a clean look that works well for outdoor projects. The 4x4 size is a good fit for the posts I needed them for, and the design provides good support at the base. I can see these being useful for decks, pergolas, fences, mailbox posts, or other projects where you want some extra stability and support.I also like that you get two in the package, which makes it convenient when you're working on a project that needs multiple posts. Overall, they feel well made and durable, and they seem like a good option when you want a solid connection between your posts and the surface.

Post Base 2 Pack 4x4, 13 Gauge Solid Steel with Black Powder Coating for Deck Pergola Fence

[Color: Black, Size: 4"x 4", Number of Items: 2]
Post Base 2 Pack 4x4, 13 Gauge Solid Steel with Black Powder Coating for Deck Pergola FenceThis initial review is based on product inspection and feature evaluation. The solid steel construction with black powder coating provides excellent rust resistance and durability for outdoor applications. The 13-gauge thickness offers substantial support for pergolas, gazebos, deck railings, fences, and mailbox posts. The anti-rot design with bottom divider keeps wood posts fully off the ground to prevent moisture damage from ground contact, while the central square compartment enhances overall stability. The complete hardware kit includes a wrench, concrete expansion anchors, socket head wood screws, and Phillips self-tapping screws. The compact design allows all screws to be inserted inside the base for a cleaner appearance.Based on face value, the anti-rot design and complete hardware set offer good value for post mounting applications. I will return to update this review after installation and extended use regarding stability and weather resistance.

Heavy-Duty and Well Made

[Color: Black, Size: 4"x 4", Number of Items: 2]
These post bases feel solid and substantial, with the thick steel construction giving them a reassuring amount of strength. The 4" x 4" size is convenient for standard post lumber, and the inner dimensions provide a snug fit for the intended posts. The brackets have a clean, straightforward design and are easy to work with during installation. They’re a great option for projects such as decks, pergolas, fences, or mailbox posts where you want additional support and a secure connection.I also appreciate that they come as a 2-pack, which is convenient for installing multiple posts. Overall, these are sturdy, practical brackets that seem well suited for DIY outdoor construction projects.

We got these to use for post railings for the deck that we're building at our rental house. The post bases are powder coated with a nice-even finish to resist rust. The raised center allows for moisture to evaporate and not sit underneath the post to rot it out. All hardware necessary for installation is included, but depending on the weight of your application, may need to be upgraded. They are sturdy and easy to use, and they fit a 4 X 4 pressure-treated lumber post perfectly. I find the kit to be a good value for the price.

A very solid base for mounting 4x4 posts on deck or concrete. Recommend

[Color: Black, Size: 4"x 4", Number of Items: 2]
These 4x4 post brackets are really great. They are well made with strong steel. The finish is clean enough to be fully exposed and not detract from the appearance of the post or rail. The bottom of the bracket is ventilated to prevent water buildup inside the base, and the steel is strong enough to fully support the post from movement even though it is standing off the deck/slab a bit. The mounting flanges are suitable for lags or bolts in wooden decks and for expansion bolts in concrete, block or other masonry application.

Great Buy. Very Sturdy!Great Buy. Very Sturdy!

These AQWSLG 4x4 post bases for concrete are thick heavy and hefty. They have a raised inner design where posts fit in without touching the surface. They are attractive, offers great support and stability. A perfect fit for 4X4 posts. The install was easy and straightforward. No structural issues are noted. (See end of review). They come in a package of two. This is a great value the price point. I love the fact that my posts are not touching the concrete. They rot from water damage faster when sitting directly on the concrete surface.Great for porches. Decks, gazebos, pergolas, rail support and mire. *I would recommend (be sure to check for visual defects). I deducted stars because BOTH items have exterior flaws.

Heavy-Duty Post Brackets That Feel Built to Last

[Color: Black, Size: 4"x 4", Number of Items: 2]
These post brackets are what I was needing. The 13-gauge steel feels thick, solid, and well-made—not flimsy sheet metal. They have a durable powder-coated finish that looks great and should help protect against rust for outdoor projects. The welds are clean, the holes are well-aligned, and everything feels like it's made with quality in mind. The included hardware is a nice bonus, making installation more convenient.Once installed, these brackets provide a very stable, secure foundation for 4x4 posts. They hold the post firmly with very little movement, giving me confidence that they'll provide excellent long-term support for fencing, pergolas, deck posts, mailboxes, or other outdoor projects.Considering you receive two heavy-duty brackets at this price, I think they're an excellent value for the money. They have a clean appearance, feel incredibly strong, and provide the kind of stability you want when supporting structural posts. If you're looking for sturdy post bases that don't feel cheaply made, these are a great choice. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Pretty good quality base for 4" x 4" post installation on concrete or wood.Pretty good quality ba...

This review for the 4" x 4" post bases will have information on the bases themselves as well as the installation directions, and hardware included in the box.(Extra note: I recommend reading Steve's review. I agree with it on the load transferring to the center ring and base flange as well as the sizing of an actual 4" x 4" post.)- The total bases are made fairly solid. The upper tube is cut from a solid steel 4" x 4" tube with the entire surface sprayed with black powder coating. The coating is even and has a nice dark brown color. The upper tube and lower foot are welded together, but I feel the weld is a little small for this kind of product.- The foot section has a lifted middle with a center base support piece (pipe) to keep moisture from staying under it. Each side of the foot has three, 1/4" x 3/8" slotted mounting holes. Inside the main tube, there are two, 3/8" diameter holes that could be used for lag screws or additional vertical weight supports in your posts. The lag screws for installing in a wood deck are 2" long. For securing the post to the base, there are four mounting holes on each side of the upper tube. The wood screws are 1-1/2" long, which actually look like glorified drywall screws.*I have a problem/question with anchoring the base; how well will six, 3/8" diameter x 1-3/4" long concrete anchors actually hold solid an 8'-10' tall post plus associated cross-bracing. The actual anchor diameter is 3/8", but the inside tension screw is only ¼" x 1-3/4” long. For a large project, I would want larger and longer anchors for prevention of wind and people use movement.- Overall review: These bases are good enough quality for light to medium weight projects. The dark brown powder coating looks like it should last many years. (For myself, if I'm building a large pergola or similar solid cover, I'd get galvanized feet that have 1/2" diameter holes to hold them down and has better weight distribution.) The welds are small and the anchoring hardware is questionable for large projects. Money wise, these are a pretty good value for the kit.
