Bottom line: this shears packs a lot of tools in a small sizeI keep a safety kit in my vehicle which includes fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and now trauma shears. I'm happy to add this to my kit because it packs a lot of features in a small size. I used to have a simple trauma shear and separate seat belt cutting tool, but with this I'm able to save space and have more features like the glass breaker and ring cutter.The belt clip is nice and held in place surprisingly well. It even fit on MOLLE webbing and didn't have any trouble pulling the scissors from the holster.I tried the scissors out on a few things and it had no problems cutting, it even cut through layers of hockey stick tape which is notoriously hard to cut. The blades of the scissor fold out and lock firmly into place with a satisfying "click", and the buttons make it easy to fold them back into place for storage.Overall, I'm really happy with this especially the amount of features it has for the price.

If you want a pair of scissors that will just plain cut what you need, these are your scissors. It’s amazing to me that they fold up like they do but it does make them easier to carry around. I love the shimmering metal look and they can really cut as well. I used them to shorten a webbed nylon belt I have and they cut through the nylon without problems. These are not for making fine cuts in paper but they are a workhorse on tougher materials. I could have passed on the carrying case but that’s just me. I don’t think they need one so it’s just added bulk. They have an added window breaker and seatbelt cutter so these would be handy in the glove compartment and also sport a ruler, ring cutter and an oxygen tank wrench. They fit my hand well and don’t dig into my fingers when using them to cut something resistant.

A nearly 1:1 clone of Leatherman's Raptor multitool at a fraction of the price. Such unabashed duplication makes it difficult for me to give this a 5-star review, but for those of us who are in the market for a tool like this hoping that it is never actually needed, that may be a compromise worth making.The only real difference here looks to be that we're lacking a locking mechanism for the webbing cutter. From a safety standpoint I don't think that's a big deal in the slightest. However, from a usability standpoint I could see the lack of lock potentially causing the tool to fold out of place during an emergency use case.There is some 'play' in the lockup for the shears, but by virtue of how the tool is used you really won't notice it in the same way you might with a folding knife. The action is also quite stiff and is likely to produce hand fatigue in short order. While I haven't taken it apart (a feature of the Raptor I wish they didn't copy; tamper resistant Torx) I can see it retains a phosphor bronze washer for, at minimum, the webbing cutter, so it may just be that the screws are over-tightened.The blades, both scissors and webbing cutter, felt adequately sharp out-of-box, handling a heavy duty nylon webbing with little effort. The ring cutter will fit rings up to 1/8" thick.Do I recommend it? Honestly, and it seemed like such a small thing, but I keep coming back to the lack of lock on the webbing cutter. Given how faithfully every other aspect of this clone was executed, it seems like such a huge oversight, likely as a cost-saving measure. I would hate for that to be the thing that trips me up in an emergency scenario. That said, if it was between this and nothing because I didn't want to shell out Leatherman money for a tool, well... I'll take "better than nothing" over nothing any day of the week.

I've carried a pair of Leatherman Raptor shears for quite a while, so I had a good benchmark to compare these against. After handling both side by side, I came away impressed. The blades are sharp, the overall build quality is very good, and all of the advertised emergency tools appear to function as intended.The biggest difference I noticed is that these require a bit more hand force to operate. The action is noticeably stiffer than my Raptors, and after making repeated cuts I could see that causing some hand fatigue during prolonged use. For occasional use or keeping them in a first aid kit, emergency bag, or vehicle, I don't think it'll be an issue, but professionals who use trauma shears all day may notice the extra resistance.The included holster holds the shears securely, the folding design is compact, and the rainbow titanium-style finish gives them a unique look without affecting functionality.For the price, these offer excellent value. They're sharp, well made, and include the same useful emergency features found on much more expensive models. For the price, these feel surprisingly robust. The shears use relatively thick, tapered blades that give them a substantial feel, and the folding design is genuinely useful when you're already carrying a lot of gear and space is at a premium.The locking mechanism feels adequate for light use, but it relies on spring tension. I would have some concerns about how well it would hold up to heavy use or exposure to dirt, dust, and water over time. It works fine now, but it's not a mechanism that inspires the same confidence as a more substantial professional tool.The ring cutter seems serviceable. I tested it on a paperclip and it cut through without much trouble, although that obviously isn't enough to determine how well it would survive repeated use. The integrated seatbelt cutter is a fairly conventional design and appears perfectly adequate.The included holster is probably the weakest component. The plastic feels somewhat flimsy compared with the shears themselves, and I would have strongly preferred a MOLLE-compatible mounting system rather than the included belt paddle.It's also fairly obvious what more expensive folding trauma shears inspired this design. At a fraction of the price of a comparable Leatherman, though, I think there's a reasonable argument for these as a budget alternative.For backpackers, vehicle emergency kits, or other non-professional applications, these strike me as a "good enough" tool that provides a lot of functionality for the money. If I were relying on my shears heavily in a professional role or operating in harsh conditions, however, I would spend the extra money on the Leatherman.

This 6-in-1 foldable trauma shears tool by Zykut is something that anyone would find useful, not just medical personnel. It actually contains more than 6 tools. There is a ruler, ring cutter, belt cutter, bottle opener, wrench, window breaker and flat-tip screwdriver. It can even be used for working with wires. It is made from stainless steel and built to last.The holster feels very durable and is made of heavy duty plastic like most gun holsters. The retaining clip that mounts to the belt ensures it locks onto your belt and doesn’t let go until you want to take it off. Taking the scissors out of the holster is effortless. Putting them back in is just as easy. They were held securely, even when jumping, bending over and twisting. It never got snagged on anything either. The holster and shears were barely noticeable while I wearing them all day at work. They weren’t heavy at all, nor did they jab me in the ribs. A belt clip is included if you prefer not to use the holster; It’s very tight so no worries about it slipping off. It also features a key ring so you can put it on a key chain or lanyard.The scissors unfold and lock into place with ease. The release button for each handle pushes in without much effort and they lock in securely. They cut effortlessly and cleanly, even through an old pair of work gloves. Obviously, they can be used for more than just bandages and tape.The ruler has clear lines which make it easy to see and read. A right angle is also available.The ring cutter looks like it will work with small width bands. I don’t have a ring I want to destroy to test this feature out but it does great at cutting wire.The belt cutter flips out with the handles still folded in, making it a quickly accessible tool. It’s very sharp and makes short work at cutting belts. On the handle there is a metal point about the size of a ball point pen intended for breaking windows. Both of these features are terrific to have in the event of an emergency. Much like a fire extinguisher, you hope you never need to.As an added bonus there is a tool in the shape of a key. This is where the standard bottle opener, multi-size wrench for smaller nuts, and screwdriver are. It feels nice and heavy duty and is very convenient for small jobs.For under $24, you get more than six tools in one; This does so much more than that.It is so versatile for everyday use and has added features for emergencies. I think the only things they forgot were an alarm, a light, and the kitchen sink. Seriously though, this is an excellent deal considering the cost to buy each tool separately. This has it all in one place. I highly recommend it.
