Great for Small Accent ProjectsGreat for Small Accent Projects

[Color: KJ-DN00003, Color: KJ-DN00003]
This is a reasonably priced starter kit (not much different if you were to purchase separately from hardware store) if you don't already have painting supplies and just need something easy and already curated for you. It includes pretty much everything you need to get started on a small project.I repaint and do projects fairly often, so I'm used to slightly weighted roller handles. The handles included here feel a little too lightweight, wide, and hollow for my preference, and that's probably the main thing I would improve. The six regular rollers are also not particularly dense, but they're good enough for applying a regular coat of paint to a wall or laying down a base coat on a smaller area. The sponge texture roller will work nicely for adding a textured finish after your base coat has dried.Overall, I think this is a good starter set. Someone who paints frequently may already have better quality tools and rollers, but if you're starting from scratch or just want everything together for a small accent project, it gives you what you need without having to purchase everything separately and think too hard about it.

Nice set. The green roller leaves a nice texture and works for knockdown as well.

This is a pretty good deal for the price. It felt expensive to me at first, but getting several good smooth rollers with a nice texture roller, a tray, and two liners, ends up being worth it.The "astroturf" roller makes a nice texture on its' own, and it also makes for a tight knockdown texture. The tray is sturdy, and the rollers and covers are of good quality. There is a nice smooth nap on the rollers that leaves a smooth surface with an even slight texture.Overall, I would recommend this. The textured roller is versatile and good quality, and everything else is nice as well. This doesn't feel like a thrown together set for the sake of making a set.

Perfect Little Kit for Furniture Makeovers!

[Color: KJ-DN00002]
I redo furniture pretty regularly, and this kit is just perfect for the kind of projects I tackle. I love that it comes with everything together instead of me digging through drawers and bins trying to find the one roller or tray I need. The 4" microfiber rollers are a great size for furniture, drawer fronts, cabinet doors, smaller accent areas, and detailed pieces where a full-size roller would be overkill. The stippling pad is a fun bonus for adding texture and giving a piece a little more character, and the tray liners make cleanup much less painful—which is always appreciated after a project.Everything feels easy to use, practical, and well suited for DIY work. The rollers apply paint smoothly, the smaller size gives me good control, and I like having multiple tools in one compact set so I can switch techniques without stopping halfway through a project. This would obviously work well for walls and accent projects too, but for furniture flipping and refinishing, it’s especially handy. One of those kits that makes me wonder why I kept piecing supplies together for so long. Definitely 5 stars from me!

Nice for texturing a one time job, components are pretty cheap

[Color: KJ-DN00004]
Nice for small jobs, worked great for doing some coatings that needed texture on putting tables for the RC track I manage... It's kind of one time use for the pan, and the rollers are really small and would be a pain for big projects.

hopeful the textured sponge and kit will help create a better effect than I could achieve by hand...

[Color: KJ-DN00002, Color: KJ-DN00002]
I picked up this kit because I'd like to try creating a faux stone finish on one of my walls. I don't have any experience with decorative or faux painting, so I was looking for something that would make the process a little easier. The first thing I noticed is that the tools are smaller than I expected. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you're covering a large wall, it may take a little longer than using a full-size roller. Also, I just read that these are only for 10-80 sq foot spaces, I hope to do larger spaces. The kit itself seems well thought out. It includes everything needed to get started, including multiple roller covers, a textured sponge, a paint tray, and liners. I especially like that everything is washable and reusable, so it isn't just a one-time-use kit.I haven't actually tried it yet, so I can't comment on how realistic the faux stone finish will look. I'm hopeful the kit will help create a more natural effect than I could achieve by hand, and I'm looking forward to experimenting with different techniques. For someone like me who's completely new to faux painting, this seems like a good starter kit. I just wish the tools were a little larger, and I think clearer information about the different kit options would make choosing the right one much easier. I'm excited to see how my project turns out.

Complete kit with 6 extra microfiber rollers. Textured roller cleans well, so it is reusable.Comp...

In the bottom floor of my house, there is a short entry wall in the foyer area of the back door. I am in the middle of remodeling my house and decided to add a textured painted surface to that wall. It's not a large space so I figured that this textured paint roller kit would work out perfectly fine for the space.I never painted a textured surface but after I looked up videos online, it seemed very easy and straightforward. Plus, since I was only doing it on a small wall, worst case I could sand it and start over if it didn't turn out good. When the kit arrived, I was impressed with its quality and how the set included everything needed. The rollers fit securely on the frames and having six microfiber ones is a nice bonus if you have color changes. And I can always tell if a microfiber roller is good quality if it cleans up easily with water for reuse, which these do. And obviously the green textured roller is meant to be washed and reused for multiple projects. Now, since the rollers are 4 inches, they are designed for small projects and not to paint large spaces. If I was planning on texturing my entire bottom floor, then this set would obviously not be the right one for the job. But for the small space in my entryway, the kit worked out perfectly. And it ended up being really easy to do and turned out much better than I expected. After you roll on the textured paint with the regular microfiber roller, you then use the green roller immediately after while the paint is wet to add the textured pattern. That's really how easy it was. This textured paint roller kit is priced really well considering the quality of the rollers plus everything that is included in the kit. And the green textured roller can be washed and used for multiple projects. And the microfiber rollers held up real well after I washed them. If you have a small feature wall that you are planning to add a textured paint surface, then I recommend this kit which has everything you need and is priced fairly.

So I’m a child of the 80’s and in the 90’s I did faux painting all the time - sponge painting and rag rolling mostly. So I saw this and had to see what it would do. I recently sponge painted my laundry room to match a wallpaper mural and realized I never stopped loving the look of it even though I stopped doing it 20 or so years ago. Whenever the trend died out, can’t remember. The stipple pad is like a high pile carpet. I did two colors at once (instead of base coat and top coat) because I always preferred the colors to blend rather than contrast. I think it looks cool. I’m wondering if I should paint a piece of furniture or something.I’m going to use it as intended on a ceiling, I think. I scraped the guest bath ceiling but it’s not smooth. This texturing will hide that and make it interesting.Maybe I’ll come back and update this with a beautiful ceiling pic. Most likely. It’s fun to slap paint on drywall this way and it looks really unique and interesting.

Roller makes it so much easier than dabbing with a sea sponge

[Color: KJ-DN00003]
I bought this kit because we’re about to start a painting project, and I didn’t want plain painted walls\. I wanted to add some subtle texture for a tone-on-tone designer look. I spent quite a bit of time researching different techniques and products before deciding on this one. What really sold me was the sea sponge roller. I knew I probably wouldn’t get consistent results trying to dab a regular sea sponge by hand, but having the sponge mounted on a roller makes it so much easier to apply the texture with light, even strokes over the dried base coat\. It takes much of the guesswork out of the process and gives a much more uniform finish\.The kit is well thought out and includes everything needed to get started, with multiple microfiber roller covers, the sea sponge roller, paint tray, and liners\. I also appreciate that everything is washable and reusable, so it can be used again for future projects instead of being a one\-time purchase\.My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the different kit options much clearer\. There are four versions available, and I had a hard time figuring out what the differences were. I found myself enlarging the product images and comparing them for quite a while before I understood which kit I needed. Adding a simple chart or clearer labels would make the selection process much easier\.
