Nice solid 14-50 plug. I needed a bonding plug for my generator when it's not hooked up to my home panel, this made making that super easy. Since there are no wires going into the plug, the insulation left a gap, so I plugged that with silicone sealant. The plug fits tightly into my 14-50 socket. Nice to have a spare plug around for whatever needs arise!

There are a lot of us that want to save money by making our own extension cords. If you're going to do that, you need to have high-quality parts made to spec to insure compatibility and safety. You get those things when you buy this combo plug kit.Right out of the box, you can see and feel the quality. The hard plastic covers are smooth and full size. They come apart easily and close securely. The contacts are large and easy to screw and unscrew. The wiring pattern is easy to read and comes in handy when adding the SS2-50 plug at the other end. The size allows for the use of the right size waterproof cable.When parts are available at this low price, you should take advantage of it.

WHen I ordered this item, I believed it to be a set of male and female plugs to be used to make a customized length 50 amp extension cord for my ev charger. This is actually is two male plugs, although to be fair the listing does state this. I'm not sure why anyone would need two of the same male plugs, but if you are this is a nice set. They seem to be well made of quality parts, and they are rated for 50 amps. I would recommend these if you need two male NEMA 14-50 plugs.

I got the BaYiToo 2 Pack NEMA 14-50P Plug Kit to have on hand as replacement parts for my generator 240v 14-50 adapters.This kit is packaged in a plastic zipped bag with each plug individually placed in a box, an instruction booklet, and eight wire terminals (SV5.5-5). I like the solid construction or feel of the plastic with built in cord clamp, clearly marked terminals, can take an 8 gauge wire, and thickness of the copper prongs on the plug.Giving five stars for construction!

The prongs seem good and sturdy. I checked them and they are legit brass, not brass plated steel or aluminum.I tried this in my outlet and it fits very firmly.I don't like the feel of the plastic shell. It seems cheap to me. Corner-cutting is not something you like to see in high voltage/high current plugs. But I guess I can't be too scared. It does have a UL Listed stamp on it. Supposing that's legit, I guess it doesn't matter what it feels like if it works.

When I was hooking these up to my welder I noticed that after I disassembled it the prongs had screws that I couldn't reach (see the last pic). But then I saw that they could be pushed out, so it would be way easier to attach cables, then they could be pushed back into position, at which point they would stay in place because the back, once screwed back on, would hold everything very well. The downside is that there are small lugs that are supplied to put 8awg wire into, then make a nice connection to the screws when wiring it up. But they aren't circular lugs, they're the open-end type, and more- they don't take 8awg wire- only 10. So they can't be sued here anyway. But I see the lugs as a plus, even though they got it wrong. I'll use them somewhere else, and still give them 5 stars.

This is a nice inexpensive NEMA 14-50 plug that works well for making custom power cables. I used one to make a generator cable so I can use my EV plug with my generator when the power goes out. It was easy to wire up and feels well made once assembled. Having a 2-pack is also nice so I have a spare for another project. Overall, these work great for making your own heavy-duty cables.
