High quality and extremely comfortable!

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
This is an extremely comfortable, feature-rich hard hat! To start, the harness system is fully adjustable and fully padded. The magnetic chin strap is also extremely easy to use and very secure, making fastening and unfastening it a breeze. It also has several external attachment points, so installing a headlamp, earmuffs, or face shield is basically plug-and-play (and yes, it can accept all three simultaneously). In the pictures for the main listing, it’s plastered with American flag decals. Just note that it comes with both American and Canadian reflective flag decals that you can install yourself. The hard hat comes with no stickers on it from the factory. This is also ANSI compliant (stamped on the underside of the brim)—Type II, Class C. With that said, SafeBuilder does have a history of making compliant PPE products, but this particular model does not come with any additional documentation identifying the lab used for testing. For that reason, I’m deducting 1 star off the review. I must say that with the company’s history, I don’t doubt the compliance claim, and I’m sure if it’s really needed, SafeBuilder would probably provide the info if contacted. So my final thoughts are that this is a highly versatile hard hat that’s not only comfortable but good looking too. From the vents to the attachment points to the buckle, it’s all high quality! Perhaps most importantly, I really like it, and I absolutely feel protected wearing it. I’m totally satisfied!

A Premium Upgrade for Jobsite Comfort with a Truly Genius Magnetic Buckle

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
As someone who spends long, grueling hours on commercial jobsites, upgrading to this SAFEBUILDER Type II Full Brim Hard Hat has been an absolute lifesaver foy neck and head. The carbon fiber pattern gives it an incredibly sleek, professional aesthetic, but the real victory here is the Type II round impact protection, which provides essential top and side safety without adding unnecessary weight. The vented design keeps air circulating beautifully during scorching summer shifts, preventing that swampy, trapped heat feeling that leads to midday headaches. By far my favorite feature is the adjustable chin strap equipped with a magnetic buckle—it snaps together securely instantly, even when I am wearing bulky work gloves, and unlatches effortlessly at the end of the day. The only minor thing to note is that the full brim extends out a bit further than standard caps, so if you are working in ultra-tight crawlspaces or scaffolding, you will just need to adjust your spatial awareness to avoid bumping the rim.

Sturdy, stylish protection with great ventilation!

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
I purchased the SAFEBUILDER Type II Full Brim Hard Hat in the vented Carbon Pattern MTBlack version, and it has proven to be an excellent upgrade for working long hours in the heat. The built-in top and side vents make a massive difference in airflow, keeping my head significantly cooler and reducing sweat without compromising on safety. Having Type II certification provides great peace of mind with top and lateral impact coverage, while the full brim design keeps the sun off my neck and out of my eyes. The carbon fiber pattern finish looks sharp and modern on the job site, and the suspension system dial makes adjusting for a snug fit fast and easy. My favorite feature is still the magnetic buckle on the chin strap—it snaps shut securely with one hand, even while wearing work gloves. If you need serious, multi-directional head protection but work in warm conditions, this vented hard hat is comfortable, practical, and well worth having.

Solid Hard Hat with Good Coverage and a Secure Fit

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
I picked this up because I wanted a Type II hard hat that provides protection around the top and sides instead of a basic helmet designed primarily around top impacts. The full-brim design gives good coverage, and I like the venting for some additional airflow when wearing it for longer periods. The carbon-pattern finish also gives it a much better look than a plain construction hard hat. One of my favorite features is the chin strap with the magnetic buckle. It's quick to fasten and helps keep the helmet securely in place when moving around, bending over, or working in awkward positions. The listed ANSI and CSA compliance was an important consideration for me as well. With safety equipment, appearance and comfort are nice, but proper certification and fit are what actually matter. Overall, this feels like a well-thought-out hard hat with good coverage, ventilation, and a secure retention system. If I'm going to wear something on my head all day for protection, I want it to actually stay there when I need it. 👷🔨👍

Quality hard hat, comfortable and secureQuality hard hat, comfortable and secure

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V, Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
This is a review of the SafeBuilder Type II Full Brim Hard Hat.I'm pretty impressed with this hard hat. The overall construction and engineering in this design tells me that they thought of and consulted those that would use it. They included multiple safety features, including the shell, EPS Foam Lining and a 6-point suspension system to protect against impacts and keep the hat the proper distance away from your head so it won't fall off and still provide protection. They also included comfort considerations with an adjustable ratchet so it can be adjusted to multiple head sizes, a replaceable sweatband and a soft chin cover for the chin strap. The chin strap also has a magnetic closure that is easy to grasp with gloved or just your hand. That closure clicks together and stays closed even if you tighten the chin strap. There are even ventilation holes on the top of the hat to keep this more comfortable than one that does not have this feature. While I don't have any accessories to test on this hat, it also includes built-in connection holes for visors, ear muffs and headlight, with covers on those holes until you decide to attach your accessories. I appreciate that they are thinking ahead with the design of this hat and how it may be used.

Nicest hardhat I’ve ever had

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
This is a great hard hat not only in quality and appearance but in protection too. Even the packaging is good looking. The hat has a great looking carbon fiber finish and texture. It’s a good shape and size although it is a touch heavier than the cheap ones. It has a good suspension system with a ratchet adjustment for the headband that doesn’t dig into the back of your head and is actually quite comfortable. It’s also got a chinstrap if needed. An even more protective feature of this hard hat is a layer of foam, like in a bicycle or motorcycle helmet, in between the suspension straps and the hat.I no longer have to wear a hard hat for work but I wish I would have had this hat back when I did. Definitely a great hard hat and a great value for the price.

Might be OK for home/consumer use, ANSI/CSA compliance unable to be verifiedMight be OK for home/...

This is a review of a SAFEBUILDER Type II full brim hard hat.Initial impression is good, the suspension system appears robust and is adjustable in two positions for height. The head circumference adjustment is infinitely adjustable via a knob in the back. There is a chinstrap with a wide range of adjustment, the magnetic buckle isn't intuitive in operation and proves quite fiddly until the wearer figures out the right "twist and slide" motion to unbuckle. Buckling is very fast and effortless though, someone really thought the retention problem through thoroughly regarding the chinstrap buckle. Consistent use should alleviate the fiddly-ness, although it definitely took two hands to unbuckle for me. The helmet itself has impact attenuation foam of varying thickness throughout the ANSI impact regulation zone, with the thickest portion at the top (as expected). The helmet is made of an unknown type of plastic, with what appears to be a "hydro dipped" exterior resembling carbon fiber - it's not a sticker. There is plenty of ventilation throughout. The wide brim qualifies it under the ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) standard for Type II, meaning top and lateral protection. Now for the main reason for the three stars instead of five: I was unable to verify the ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) compliance. According to the standard, there has to be a ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) permanent approval mark inside every helmet sold in the USA (this one has the mark on the underside of the brim at the front of the helmet), but there was no manufacturer certificate of compliance anywhere in the box. The certificate confirms that the helmet meets the standards, and includes a report of the test results. Is this helmet certified for OSHA compliant jobsites? Would the jobsite safety officer allow it on a OSHA compliant construction site? Unknown. However on casual inspection, the hard hat should prove to be fine for home and consumer use and guard against some impacts. If I were shopping for helmets that were OSHA compliant for a professional job site, I'd consult with the safety officer first before purchase. As a final thought, I'll leave you with this: how much is your head worth to you? Choose accordingly.

Quality-made Grade II hard hat with magnetic one-handed closure, a definite recommend

[Color: Carbon Pattern MTBlack-S26-V]
We used hard hats at my family's construction company, and I like to try different companies to find the best made ones for our employees. This one is very good. It's rated Grade II (which is better than Grade 1) and has several good features involving fit, safety and comfort.Per the company, here are its certifications: S26-V Full Brim Hard Hats Compliant with ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014(R2019) Type II, Class C, LT and CSA Z94.1-15(R2024) Type 2, Class C standards. Suitable for construction and industrial work.It has a special magnetic snap buckle to enable one-handed closure and release. Its magnets auto-align and click securely and quickly, so no force needed, important especially when the employee has to quickly put on the hat.The employees like wearing it. They like its ratchet knob which allows them to easily head circumference adjustment. They can easily adjust the vertical height which takes just two motions.I usually do the cleaning when I notice the hard hats getting dirty. This hat's buckle resists dirt and sand and for the rest, it's the usual wipe off dirt with a wet cloth, using a mild soap as needed. The verdict on this hard hat from the employees is good, so we will be getting more from this company.A definite recommend.
