I ordered and received a 2 pack, but when I click on the product details they appear to be 12 packs. If you can use a 12 pack it is a pretty good value at $2 per bracket. But buying a 2-pack makes the per piece price much higher.Installation will be straightforward when I get to it. There is mounting hardware included and will take care of both dry wall anchored mounting or stud mounting. The claimed weight capacity must be for stud mounted brackets. No way can drywall anchors support that. But these brackets are a thick piece of powder coated steel. So I believe it.The look is fairly industrial and they will be visible below the shelf. Neither of these two factors bother me as I intend to use them for a heavy duty shelf above my rolling tool chest/work bench. This way I store some tools off the surface and get me more area to work on.There are a couple of edges that if you rub your finger along them they could be a little sharp. I’ll take a file to these before wall mounting them. Although, once mounted below a shelf it is unlikely you’d ever come in contact with those sharp bits.

I've had some bad luck with shelf brackets from Amazon in the past, especially with sets where the brackets weren't all quite the same or the quality was inconsistent. These were a very pleasant surprise.All 12 of the brackets I received match exactly and appear to be well made. They feel sturdy, the finish is consistent, and I didn't find any odd differences from one bracket to the next. That consistency makes a big difference when you're installing multiple shelves and want everything to line up and look right.For the price, I'm very happy with the quality of this set. After my experiences with some other brackets, these are exactly what I was hoping to receive. Solid construction, consistent quality, and no complaints. 5 stars.

This is a great pair of 6" metal "heavy duty" floating shelf brackets. The type of metal used for these brackets is not advertised but they are extremely strong, specs and angles right @ 90º and a nice/even black spray paint coating. The edges were all straight and had a smooth finish.The floating bracket's feature design is that you only see the bracket's arm from underneath the shelf. The bracket's carrying capacity is not the issue I'd worry about versus the supplied mounting hardware - depending on the weight to be held I would be using stronger hardware.Another advantage of the floating shelf bracket is ease of installing and access to the hardware when mounting. As far as pricing, I've noticed since I've ordered this (2) piece set (it is no longer listed) - a new listing from the same company shows these brackets being marketed @ (12) 6 inch brackets being sold for a very fair price of $26.00 - that equates to a little over $4.00 for the six pairs vs. the $10.00 for the one pair for the ones I ordered. Based on the quality of product and great pricing, this is an easy buy decision .

Nice easy to install

The ProGemyllic brand shelf brackets are made for heavy loads. The 6” L brackets are modern looking and attractive for use in any part of the house. They are made from 1/5” iron with a perfect 90-degree L shape to make a level shelf. All hardware is included for mounting the brackets to the wall and for mounting the shelf to the brackets. The finish is a black matte making them match any color. We plan to place a 1” x 8” board (actually ¾” x 7 ½”). We plan to put a simple stain on the board prior to installation. I would advise mounting the brackets to a wall stud for proper strength.For a good price, you will receive two 6” L shaped wall brackets for shelf making. They are extra strong and look great.

**OVERALL IMPRESSION**These brackets are every bit as heavy-duty as advertised. As soon as I picked one up, it was obvious that these could support a lot of weight. I don't think I've ever seen shelf brackets this strong before.**BUILD QUALITY**The brackets appear to be about 3/16 of an inch thick, and I can't flex or bend them at all by hand. They're extremely rigid and feel like they're built for much more than just a lightweight decorative shelf.The black finish also looks very nice, and I didn't find any issues with poor workmanship, warping, or other defects.**MY PROJECT**I'm using these to create a shelf above a rolling workbench. My goal is to put a heavy toolbox and other items on the shelf so they're positioned almost as if they were sitting on the workbench, while still allowing me to roll the workbench away from the wall whenever I need to.For something like this, I wanted brackets I could trust with a substantial amount of weight, and these are definitely up to the task.**STRENGTH**The listing indicates that two brackets can support 160 pounds. I obviously wouldn't recommend exceeding the manufacturer's rated capacity, but just to get an idea of how strong the brackets themselves are, I carefully put my full 185-pound body weight on one bracket after it was securely mounted. It didn't budge.Needless to say, I'm very confident in their ability to support my shelf within the rated capacity.**MOUNTING HARDWARE & INSTALLATION**I like that mounting screws are included, but I don't think the supplied screws are nearly as heavy-duty as the brackets themselves. Since I'm planning to put significant weight on my shelf, I chose to use stronger screws appropriate for my installation.With brackets this strong, your mounting method and what you're attaching them to are obviously going to be just as important as the brackets themselves.**FLOATING SHELF DESIGN**These can also create a very clean floating-shelf appearance. If you recess the brackets into the underside of a shelf, they could essentially disappear from view.**VALUE**I think these are well worth the price. Getting two brackets this thick, rigid, and well made is a great value, especially if you need a shelf capable of supporting substantial weight.**BOTTOM LINE**I would recommend these not only for floating shelves inside a home but also for heavy-duty shelving in a garage or workshop. They're extremely strong, well made, and could be useful for all kinds of projects. My only suggestion is to consider upgrading the included mounting screws if you're planning to take advantage of the brackets' heavy-duty capabilities.

These heavy-duty floating shelf L brackets are exactly what I was looking for. They came with all of the necessary hardware, which made getting everything installed really easy. The brackets themselves are very straightforward to attach to the floating shelf, and mounting them to the wall is just as simple.I think the L-shaped design is a big part of what makes these so easy to install. There are two screw holes for attaching the bracket to the shelf, and then four screw holes on the portion that goes against the wall. Having multiple points of attachment gives the brackets a really strong and secure connection once they're mounted properly.Overall, I’m very happy with these brackets. They feel heavy duty, installation was simple, and I really like the extra stability provided by the four wall anchors. If you're looking for a straightforward way to securely mount floating shelves, these worked great for me!
