When it rains I have a system in place to divert the water. I never thought it would ever be overwhelmed but one day it rained super hard it did. I added a sump to it like a storm basin and added a pump to it. Its not big enough for a regular sump pump and the float switch so I put this on to control the pump. It actually works better than I thought!Now when it rains I'm not so worried about my yard flooding.

I have a rain barrel that I like to know how full it is, and due to weather conditions the things I've tried just don't last. I think if I arrange these in a line and run the wires inside it may last. I only use it for the coffee maker and cooking, but I also want it empty when it's in danger of freezing. expect these to be more forgiving than the supposedly waterproof backup cameras, or even the no contact sensors that reflect off the water surface. I also think four levels will be accurate enough to be as informed as I need to be.

I liked these switches a lot.They come in a zip lock pouch that was taped shut all around. Since I wanted to keep the pouch, it took some time to remove all the clear tape.Inside, two individually packaged float switches.Each switch comes with the 90 degree elbow that is the seat for the float switch. It has a pvc female for the 3/4" NPT slip fit threaded nipple that connects to the drain line that you want to monitor.The other end of the body will accommodate the switch with the float, which just seats loosely in the opening. I like this system because you can just pull to inspect the drain line and clean the float and switch assembly.The switch assembly has 6' (72 inch) long wires which is a generous length. Why don't they use sleeved wires to make the wiring neater?When closed I measured a 0.25 Ohm resistance, which is roughly the wire resistance.The molding quality is excellent, and the presentation is very good too. If I were to object anything, it would be the PCV gray color.I am pleased with this switches and can recommend them
