This is faithful to what's described in the listing - two clamshell boxes about the size of a power strip with rubber cable glands and a secure latch. There are cable holes with removable plugs sized for a typical extension cord that allow you to route input and output cables through the box, up to a total of five different cables. The classic application for this box would be holiday lights or sprinkler controls. I'm using mine for custom small electronics projects, and for that application I do wish the cable holes were a little smaller to maintain the water resistance, but they're the perfect size for wall power-based projects which is what most people will want. It's easy to add other cable glands if needed, so no big deal.Nice boxes at a fair price for a two pack; I think these will hold up well, and will report back with anything I learn over the long haul.

Worked well

Very convenient and nicely sized. This box is a bit more lightweight than I expected which allows the sides to flex making attachment of the lid a little difficult. That said, it’s adequately sealed against rain once you get everything lined up. The box uses a tongue and grove edge but the only rubber seals are at the ports which means it’s not fully waterproof; however, for an exterior box exposed to rain and intended to contain something like the connections of multiple extensions cords while sitting upright, it works very well, especially for the price. It also has connections on the bottom which can be used to mount these on a wall; however, this puts the tongue and groove edge vertical which would probably be more susceptible to leakage so I’d be cautious using it that way without a cover.

Very useful set of outdoor boxes for electrical connections. We don't have a permanent power outlet on our patio, so we use either battery powered devices or run an extension cord that gets folded up after every use. These boxes make for semi-permanent electrical connections. We can run an extension cord to the box, plug in a power strip and leave it there for weeks without worrying about the rain or moisture causing shorts. The pass through cord channels have little rubber seals that keep water and bugs out. The size is good, the material is sturdy and resilient. It's a black box, so not very attractive looking, but it can be hidden. Overall it's a very good product and the fact that it comes as a two pack makes it even better and more flexible.

This is a great outdoor electrical box for keeping plugs and lighting connections protected. I am using one of them for landscape lighting as a junction box, and it works very well for that purpose. The box has plenty of room inside and closes up tightly. The seals feel good, and the cable openings make it easy to run cords in and out while still keeping everything organized. It is much cleaner and safer than leaving outdoor plug connections exposed, especially for landscape lights, timers, or seasonal lighting.I also like that this comes as a 2-pack. I am using one now for landscape lighting, and I plan to use the other one at Christmas for plugging in outdoor lights. That makes it a good value, especially compared to buying single boxes separately.Overall, these are well made, roomy, easy to use, and priced well. If you need a weather-resistant box for outdoor plugs, landscape lighting, or holiday decorations, this is a very useful item to have.

Hopefully this is an anomaly, but in the package I received, one of the boxes is great, and the other doesn't close. If they had both been usable, this would be a 5-star review. Pay attention to the size of the box. It is really large, like almost shoe-box size. It will fit a bunch of plugs. I have not had a chance to use it outside yet, but like the design for keeping the electrical stuff dry. It seals well around the cords to keep water off the plugs. I live in an area that gets rain in the winter, and I have been wanting something like this for a while. I've been making my own boxes by cutting holes in old food storage containers, so this is definitely an improvement. Looking forward to a safer yard display this year.

This outdoor electrical box set is fantastic, from the massive interior capacity to the thick rubberized gasket seals. It delivers excellent weather protection and great value for money since it comes in a two-pack. First of all, the fundamental design is very practical. The black polypropylene plastic feels reasonably sturdy, and you will notice how well the eight cord ports are laid out to accommodate multiple cables.I love the sheer amount of interior space this box provides. Having such a large footprint means you can easily fit bulky smart timers and large transformers without having to awkwardly bend your wires. It gives you incredible peace of mind when setting up outdoor Christmas lights or solar connections in the yard. The built-in mounting slots on the bottom are very clever, and you will notice a notable difference in how securely you can zip-tie it to a post compared to standard boxes.Coming to the weatherproofing itself, it is quite good for moderate rain and snow. The IP54 rating and overlapping lid design successfully keep internal electronics completely dry. It makes your life so much easier because you don't have to wrap your extension cord connections in ugly plastic bags anymore. The rubber gaskets hug standard 14-gauge cords perfectly, creating a solid watertight barrier. My only pet-peeve is the latching mechanism on the side. Because the plastic box has a slight amount of flex to it, you will find the two side clips can be somewhat finicky and hard to snap completely shut if the lid is not perfectly aligned. Additionally, thick 12-gauge heavy-duty cords are a bit too large for the ports and can prevent the lid from closing easily. But given how spacious it is and the unbeatable price for two boxes, I am highly satisfied with this purchase. If you need an affordable way to protect your outdoor lighting setups, this is a solid choice.

These are nice large 7.5" wide, 11.5" long, and 4.6" deep, black plastic, waterproof, outdoor electrical boxes. My measurements are a little different than the sellers because I measured the inside bottom, and the sides are tapered. The box is made with slots on the bottom so it can be mounted with screws, or with plastic ties. It has eight openings for cables with a rubber inserts to make it water tight. I do have some concern about the two locking clips. They can be impossible to close if the top is not properly seated to the bottom. In the winter I can see they might break of in very cold temperatures. I can't say they are easy to close if everything is not lined up. For what they provide they are a reasonable value. The 1/2" openings (see my picture) appears to be designed to take a 14/3 AWG extension cord that is often orange in color. A 12/3 AWG could be too large to allow closing the box. Here are outside diameter. measurements listed by AI14/3 AWG (Common Medium-Duty): Usually ranges between 0.35" and 0.38" outside diameter.12/3 AWG (Heavy-Duty): Typically falls between 0.55" and 0.60" outside diameter.I will be using these boxes as a distribution point for Christmas lights, and blowups.
