Installation is a challenge. If you are wiring using 14gage this will work fine but for 12 gage there is not enough space for the wire to wrap around the ground screw. I tried for a while and installed one. Look to be made well but they are setup for old school loop wiring and do not support any push or clip behind the screw approaches. The value is good for the quantity but not if you have 12 gage wire, takes to long to install.I like Amico as a brand. Most of the lighting in my new build is Amico and the lighting products are rock solid. The issue on this is just design. For these devices they need to get smaller (better electronics) and should have push in wiring.

This replacement wall outlet has 2 plug ins and USB A & USB C ports. It also comes with a matching wall plate. The size is slightly smaller than average outlets which makes installation a bit easier. It’s about 1.5” deep overall. The 2 USB ports make connecting any phone for charging easy and convenient. The plug ins are also tamper resistant, so small children can’t put things in them. Based on functionality, durability, ease of installation, and quality, this is a great value buy.

Truth in lending - after I unpacked this I was ready to pack it back up and return it. Why? Because it uses "old school" screw posts for the wires instead of modern push in connections. Before I did, I decided to check some comparable replacements. Turns out ALL of the plugs with USB connections are made the same way. Apparently the space in a traditional plug where you can have the push connectors is used for the USB electronics. My deepest apologies to Amico for the things I mentally said.WIth that out of the way, this is a really nice and relatively easy to instal plug. Note that you only have the three screw posts and no good way to "daisy chain" this with another outlet. This needs to be a terminal end.Once installed everything is pretty straight forward. You have a 2.4A USB-A port and a 3A USB-C port. Total delivery is 21W so this is really meant for device charging, not for running a laptop.For us this is going in the kitchen to power speakers and a web cam. Yes you can use an adapter or a strip but keeping the kitchen counter more clear is worth the more limited utility of one of these plugs.Nice product.

Everything arrived complete and in good condition.The structure combines a rigid white plastic front cover with a deeper rear housing that contains the internal electronics. The plastic has good thickness, a uniform texture, and a clean appearance. The wall plate matches the same color and features well defined edges with a smooth, glossy surface.The mounting brackets, terminals, and contacts are metal and give a solid impression when handling the unit. The markings used to identify the electrical connections are easy to read, and the included screws appear properly machined. The rear section also displays molded openings and the relevant certification markings.Although it is not an especially heavy component, it has more weight than a standard outlet due to the integrated electronics. Great replacement for a standard outlet - adds two USB ports, one type A and one type C.Easy to wire/install, uses hold-down screws for all three wires - simply remove the wires from the existing outlet and attach them to this one and you a good to go. Even includes the decora-style plate and screws required.Note that this outlet is deeper than a standard generic outlet (1.5" total depth) but will easily fit into a standard gang box unless it is over-crowded with romex. It will not fit into a shallow gang box however.In testing the USB port power delivery I had no problem getting the rated power out of both the Type A and Type C outlets. Its ETL listed and also states it conforms to UL standards.Overall this is a nice upgrade so that you don't have to have ugly USB adapters all of the place, instead you have available USB charge ports wherever you need them and always ready to go. At this low price point you can easily afford to upgrade outlets in places where you frequently need to charge devices. Highly recommended
