Buying those tiny little craft store spools was getting expensive, so I ordered this massive 1000-foot roll. It is exactly what you need for heavy-volume projects. The 2.5mm thickness is substantial; it has a great tensile strength and doesn't snap when I'm pulling knots tight around cardboard shipping boxes.The listing explicitly warns that this natural jute sheds more than sisal, and they aren't kidding. Unspooling it leaves a fine dusting of brown fibers all over your clothes and the worktable, so definitely keep a lint roller handy if you're wearing dark colors. The slightly rough, rustic texture looks fantastic for farmhouse-style packaging or garden tying. The spool itself is tightly wound and hasn't tangled into a frustrating mess yet. I’m really happy with this twine. It comes with a generous 1,000 feet, so there is plenty to use for different projects without constantly needing to buy more.The twine feels strong and durable while still being easy to work with. It’s easy to cut, tie, and wrap around different items.I’ve found it useful for crafts, decorating, gift wrapping, and other projects around the house. Having such a long roll makes it convenient to keep on hand.The quality is good, and it holds knots well without being difficult to handle. It’s also easy to store when not in use.Overall, this is a great amount of twine for the price. If you do a lot of crafts or DIY projects, having 1,000 feet available is definitely convenient.

This is 1,000 feet of natural jute twine. So many great things to say about this product; it has so many potential uses. I use it a lot outside, to tie up plants in the garden and to secure plant covers/garden fencing. It can be used for decorative purposes as well - to tie bows on wrapped gifts or party favors.This particular twine is good quality, very durable. The thickness is the perfect middle-ground: not too thin so it breaks and not so thick that you can’t tie it. I have used other jute twine that unravels very easily, but this stays together well.It’s a natural material so manufacturing it is less harmful to the environment and it will break down quickly once discarded, unlike plastic bows or ties. This also comes with a flexible measuring tape which is very useful for this product and for other projects.

This is a generously thick roll of jute twine for the price, 328ft at $7.99. (No I did not measure it, but the roll is pretty sizeable.) It even includes a measuring tape, and even though the description says it's 2.5mm twine, the label says it's 3mm in diameter. I have no way to verify it since the twine is kind of squishy and varies in thickness due to the nature of the string, but it measured 3mm when I laid it flat on the included tape measure. It is feels strong when tugged, it sheds much less than the rolls of jute twine I have bought in the past at the dollar store. In fact, even the density of the string felt better than the dollar store ones. I use jute twine to make book bundles for consignment/yard sales, to make trellis for climbing vegetables, gift wrapping, etc. The uses are endless and this roll will last me a while.

Thanks for the Natural Jute Twine!We use a lot of this throughout the estate. We used to use the white plastic string from the local dollar store, but it would break down within a year in the sun. And it would break down into tiny particles of plastic and lose any tensile strength it had in the process. So, we learned to appreciate the natural fiber twine. Very happy to get more!1000ft is a great amount, very handy. It is surprisingly robust in some applications, such as when it has rained and we may be able to pull it apart with our hands, but somehow it still stays intact under tension holding the big bushes in place.Great for the kids' projects, tying up our cardboard, in the kitchen, a good variety of uses. The birds also like it if cut into smaller strips and stuffed in something, along with some cotton wool, they will use this as nesting material.Overall, a 1000ft of this has been a really handy thing to receive. We appreciate it is not plastic & we are happily using it for a variety of things! thanks again!

This jute is 2.5mm exactly per my measurements and is really strong, I'm unable to break it manually. This would work well for interior plant hangers (jute doesn't do well in weather as both sun and water damage it) and jewelry like macrame' or other knotwork. Also functional as seasonal ties for plants outside but don't expect it to last past a season when exposed to weather at this thickness. This did have an earthy smell when unwrapped which I expect from jute twine. We carry jute twine with us when camping as it is great for temporary clotheslines, tying back tent flaps, and all the times when you need a bit of string. If you miss a bit jute is organic so you have the peace of mind to know this will compost back into the environment although you should leave any camping site as you found it, pack it in and pack it all out. You can also use jute like tinder in a pinch so great to have as it's lightweight and useful in a variety of ways. Good product in a very ample amount for a good price.

I gave this 4 stars because it smells like chemicals and caused me to sneeze immediately after removing the plastic. I think this smells like chemicals because it was wrapped in plastic and sitting in a hot factory where it was made, that heat really locked the chemical smells from the plastic into the rope. The other reason I marked this down is because it sheds so much, I was working with this for a few hours and afterwards I had thousands of fibers on my clothes that are impossible to get off. This is a quality jute rope, that can be easily used to make twisted bracelets. It is really strong and creates a really big spiral when you make spiral bracelets. I appreciate that this can be put into my compost and broken down naturally. This jute rope is versatile and can be used for many things such as gardening, art, and/or crafts. There are many more uses for this jute twine, but those are some of the big ones. It is easy to use, but it is so thick that it is difficult to tie a knot once you have braided it. It is not as coarse as you would think, it is a little coarse but not so coarse that it irritates my skin/hands. You get 1000 feet of this jute, it will last so long; definitely worth the $17. I think this a really good value and is definitely worth the price if you don't have allergies to chemicals.
