This set of 2 13" PYKZLU Drum Lamp Shades with a star cutout pattern for $29.99, it was too good a deal to pass up.I'm designing a pair of Sci-Fi inspired lamps for our living room and even though I normally do not the like DIY wrap-around type lampshades, but when I saw the starry night cutout pattern I couldn't resist ordering them. With black exterior and reflective gold interior these shades should work perfectly for the lamps I'm doing!They are 13" when assembled and come with Spider Fitter & Harp Holders. The fabric material looks like decent quality, as far as lampshades go, but there are a few slightly rough edges here-and-there.I especially like the cutout pattern and how it casts a bit of the starry pattern on the wall right next to the lamp, and they look so nice with the light shining through the cutouts.Recommended for anyone looking to add a dash of whimsy to their lamp upgrade.

This is a review of PYKZLU branded lamp Shades. It is a pair of black Tetron-Cotton (Polyester + Cotton) shades. That fabric has a nice visible and palpable texture. Inside is lined with gold foil, not mylar, which makes it more durable, rigid, and flame retardant. It casts a dramatic presence in a sitting area or bedroom.Both black and attached foil layers are perforated through with holes and stars. The reflections give the light that comes out a pretty yellow hue. If you place it near a wall, you can see a few of the stars. But because the holes are small and stars few, and the multiple angles from the foil, you do not see distinct stars on the wall (which I think would be distracting). 10 to 20 feet away, you will see light but not dots (good). Please see my photos.Usage Notes:- The perforations are for making the lamp an attractive centerpiece though you will want more illumination at times.- Not projecting stars on the walls unless on a nightstand.- No need to worry that dots on the wall will grow tiresome or make the room look like a disco in a living room.- The lamp shade is secured by a metal harp that should be vertically up so the shade has no chance to fall downIn summary, this is a beautiful accent piece that can be a focal point in a room. It fit well with many design styles including mid-century modern, BoHo, Industrial, Glam, and Eclectic Design.

These are the prettiest lamp shades i have ever had! I love that they came with everything to transform your current lamp to this one. I actually used it on 2 different styles of lamps and was able to fit the shades on both by flipping one upside down and changing the hardware for the other. The quality of the shades is the best by far. it is black velvet from the outside, but the inside is a shimmery reflective copper that shines so well through the stars (constellations) that are designed on the outside. it really does create an entirely different ambiance for your room when you set it up, it showed stars and gold lighting around the room, and i love it! i had only planned to use one shade, but when i swapped one of my lamps, i KNEW i had to use the 2nd one because it is so pretty! assembly was pretty fast and self explanatory. the shade has velcro to help close it around the metal hardware. i have had to swap others with clips, etc, and have broken the clips or nothing lines up right, but with these shades, it was completely effortless. im not sure what pricing on average is for shades, but to me $30 for the ambient lighting you get is a great deal! i would definitely buy these again! they should definitely start making more shades with shiny copper inside, it makes such a difference!

I ordered these PYKZLU 13" Drum Shade with Spider Fitter & Harp Holders, Set of 2 as one of several small, easy ways to update the décor in my family room. These covers arrived unassembled with no instructions and 2 outer shade covers with hook and loop closures and snaps for the rings, 2 top spider rings, 2 bottom circle rings, and 2 harp holders. Assembly was easy, required no tools, and took less than ten minutes from unboxing to installing and admiring. The assembled shades fit my floor lamps as if made for them and seamlessly complemented the black and white décor of my family room.These lamp covers are made of flexible plastic with a soft black fabric outside overlay and gold foil with a mirror surface on the inside. The black and gold cover is designed with 2 sizes of star and circle cutouts in a repeating pattern that runs the span of the cover. There is a faint shimmer on the black fabric surface of the cover that gives the fabric a delicate, linen-like look. The mirror gold interior picks up and reflects light from other sources even when the lamp it covers is off. This makes the cutouts look like real stars in a dark sky and adds to the décor of any room.High-quality materials are used, and the shades are surprisingly strong and sturdy despite being a snap together structure instead of a traditional preconstructed piece. I expected the shade to cast star-shaped points of light, but it doesn’t. However, it does diffuse the light sufficiently and casts a soft glow that illuminates an area well. The spider and bottom rings that form the shade frame are made of metal and have a hefty weight to them. They are not flimsy or prone to bend. With this sturdy frame, I expect that the shades will be durable and last a long time. Overall, these shades offer a pleasing combination of function and décor. I can recommend these shades and know family and friends will be happy if they purchase them. They will get attractive accent pieces that are functional and decorative at a great value.

I have been looking at shades like these for a while. I recently replaced all the lamps in my home. I had used many of them for over 20 years, but they were starting to wear.Since I am on a budget, I didn't purchase high end lamps, nor did I 20 years ago, but while I like the bases, the shades are lackluster at best.I have looked at these shades, wondering: are they gaudy, do they match my adult spaces, will they work?These shades are the same as you get today; they have a metal frame with panels that clip to the frames and fasten with hook and loop strips. The shades have a copper colored inside layer and are black on the outside with small star cutouts. I purchased the 13-inch version.Since I usually buy budget lamps, this is the type of shade that comes with them, but they are generally cheap and look it. These shades are heavier, higher quality, and still a good price. You get two for $30.So I tried one in my living room, but I wound up preferring the linen shades I have. I had just completely redecorated my bedroom, so I tried them in there. While the old shades were black, linen like, they seemed too small for the lamps. These are about an inch larger in circumference, and what a difference it makes.The copper liner inside creates a soft, warm glow. The stars are not obnoxious or childlike; they really added something to my bedroom.I love them. They turned out to be what I was missing.

I ordered the star pattern set of these drum lamp shades, and I could not be more pleased with how they look and perform. If you've ever bought build-it-yourself lampshades online, you know how hit-or-miss they can be—so many brands roll or fold the panels tightly, leaving you with ugly, permanent creases right out of the box. That is NOT the case here!​Thoughtful & Protective Packaging:I was immediately impressed by the care taken in shipping. The shade panels were laid flat together, wrapped gently in tissue paper without being rolled tightly, and shipped in a box large enough so the metal hardware sat safely in the middle. Because the material was protected from tight folds, there were zero creases or flaws on the fabric.​Assembly & Quality:Assembly was a total breeze. Having put together quite a few DIY shades over the years, I didn't even need to look at the instructions—they snapped into place smoothly and held a clean, sturdy drum shape right away. The TC fabric quality is solid, and the included spider fitters and harp holders fit securely.​Lighting Effect & Aesthetics:The standout feature is definitely the gold inner lining combined with the star cutouts. This review is for the PYKZLU "black and hollowed out carving" lamp shade. This is the one with the black outer color, and with stars and small holes scattered. It is stunning! The only thing that could make me love it even more is if it came in a midnight blue outer cover. But it is a beautiful lamp shade and was very easy to assemble. Out of the box are the top and bottom rings that are white. It seems they should be either black or gold for the black shades. White is good for the white shades. I might spray paint them at some point but they are fine as they are, too. The cover for the shades is sorta rolled/folded. The gold inside has a type of plastic wrap adhered to it to protect the finish when they stamp the cutouts. You will need to gently remove this plastic. A few times it snagged on a cut edge of a star and the plastic tore a little bit. No big deal, just gently lift those pieces and remove them. Once the plastic is removed, you simply lay it out with the gold side up, and you will see the small plastic clips along both edges of the shade material. With the rings on edge, just pop them into the clips, rolling them as you go until you reach the end. The edges have a thin strip of velcro, so you just seal those strips together and you are done! Takes just a couple minutes each. The kit includes 2 harps and finials to use, if you need them. And you are done! Turn the light on and enjoy the beautiful glow of the cutouts reflecting from the gold interior of the shade. I absolutely love them! If you have priced lamp shades, I think you will agree that these are priced very reasonably for the quality and how beautiful they are. My apologies for the video! It is not easy trying to demonstrate with only one hand available!
