Amazing set of wire lugsAmazing set of wire lugs

[Size: 10-2 AWG, Number of Items: 100, Size: 10-2 AWG, Number of Items: 100]
This is an extremely nice set of wire lugs with terminals and heat shrink. Now I just need to get a properly big crimp tool so I can begin to make my own battery cables rather than pay a small fortune to the tractor/lawn mower company with green and yellow equipment. These look to be very well made, and I will come back and add to this review after I get a proper crimper and have some time to use these lugs

These appear to be proper tinned-copper lugs, though I am not about to cut one in half just to confirm the internal casting quality myself (you can see that in the item listing, if you want). That said, these are regular-duty lugs in the sense that you can crimp your cabling and use them for outdoor HVAC purposes, electrical panel connections, or other general applications, as long as you give the connection a proper mechanical crimp to maximize its electrical performance. That requires a good crimping tool, not just a pair of pliers. Since these are tinned, you can also solder the cable in afterward to further maximize conductivity. Once that is done, slide the heat shrink tubing up over the joint and seal it with heat. This kit is fully stocked, coming with a range of lugs capable of handling multiple wire gauge sizes, and it includes heat shrink tubing in red and black to indicate positive or negative voltage (primarily intended for 12-volt DC use, though you can also use the same color coding for AC to mark hot and neutral). The lugs crimp cleanly with either a hex crimp or an indent crimp profile (the two standard crimp die types used for this class of lug), and they appear built to hold up over time. This is a great solution compared to carrying around individual packages of connectors, and it comes with a small storage case that will probably last about six months before falling apart. That said, I used the 8-gauge lugs at my ground-mount air conditioner's terminal block to convert from bare wire to a proper lug setup, improving longevity, reducing vibration-related wear, and generally cleaning up the connection while I was replacing the start and run capacitor.5 out of 5 stars for kit completeness, lug quality, and overall thoughtfulness of the kit.Pros:• Tinned copper construction allows for both crimping and soldering, giving you two layers of connection security rather than relying on a crimp alone.• Color-coded heat shrink tubing, red and black, makes polarity identification fast and clear, whether wiring 12-volt DC systems or marking hot and neutral on AC circuits.• Wide range of included wire gauge sizes means one kit covers most common HVAC, automotive, and marine electrical projects without needing to buy separate size-specific packs.Cons:• Included storage case is not built to last, expect it to wear out or break apart within roughly six months of regular use.• A proper crimping tool is required to get a solid, dependable mechanical connection. A pair of pliers will not produce a safe, lasting crimp on these lugs.• Crimped lugs form a permanent cold-welded bond once compressed. Never reuse a lug that has already been crimped once, always start with a fresh one when rewiring a connection.Item Title (as received): 100Pcs Complete Copper Wire Lugs Kit, 50 Terminals + 50 Heat Shrink 3:1 Tubing, Tinned Ring Terminals 10 8 6 4 2 AWG Battery Cable Ends Professional Set for Marine AutomotiveItem ASIN: B0H4GLPV5BItem UPC: N/A

Copper is expensive these days, and it shows in some of the the lugs in this kit. While the lugs intended for the smaller stud sizes look adequate or close to it for the size conductors that they go with, others look a little shy in cross-sectional area. In particular look at the lugs for the larger studs for each wire size. The holes are so large compared to the lug width that the cross-sectional area of the current path is pretty slim through the lug compared with the wire area itself.I haven't calculated the current density through the lugs compared to the capacity of the standard wire gauges that go with them, and much depends on how you crimp or solder the lugs (some will use solder for lack of proper crimpers) and whether you use a washer with a nut on the stud. There is nothing here that should be of great concern, but the lugs may simply have a little higher resistance than they could have if made of thicker material. Even for the relatively low kit price of $18 I expected a little more copper based on comparison with some other lugs I have on hand, but nevertheless these are usable. The 3:1 heat shrink is a good shrink ratio and it is the preferred glue-lined type, but I would have preferred if they had left it out and given beefier copper lugs. It seems like some of these kits include heat shrink just to get the advertised piece count up, but I guess not everyone has a stock of heat shrink tubing on hand so maybe it's not a bad idea to include some. Just don't plan on getting the plastic box shut once you open it until you remove some or all of the heat shrink tubing. It was bulging while still sealed and once opened it's really too overstuffed to close.

Car stereos and golf carts are two common applications where this set of copper lugs from Mamfous are useful. The lugs are 100% copper but are tinned so they are silver in appearance. The lugs come in sizes from 10 AWG to 2 AWG and heat shrink tubing in both red and black is included. The assortment comes in a clear plastic box with fixed dividers. I am usually not a fan of the specific thin plastic boxes like these because durability is not the best, but most users will be fine as long as they are careful. Be sure to use an approved and properly-sized crimping tool for best results. High current applications such as a solar array installation require extra care to ensure the best possible connections. The label on this kit is visible on the exterior of the storage box but not underneath the lid so that is one potential area for improvement. I really do like the tinned nature of these connectors because oxidation becomes less of an issue. Pricing is appropriate for this 100-piece tinned copper lugs assortment. Recommended.

I recently picked up this 100-piece cable lug and heat shrink kit, and it has been a great addition to my shop. It’s exactly what I needed to cover the needs for several of my electrical projects in progress. The kit includes a solid variety of 50 cable lugs covering 12/10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 AWG wire sizes, along with 50 matching pieces of heat shrink. Having everything in one place saves me from digging through loose parts. I especially appreciate the plastic case and the clear identification chart included; it makes finding the right size for a specific job effortless and keeps my bench much more organized. The quality of the tinned copper lugs seems perfectly fine for standard automotive or general wiring tasks, and the heat shrink fits well. It’s not a fancy professional-grade setup, but it’s a very practical, well-thought-out kit that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.If you’re looking for a simple, reliable way to stock up on common connector sizes without the clutter, this set fits the bill perfectly.

Great Little Kit to Have on HandGreat Little Kit to Have on Hand

For anyone tackling some light electrical work—such as automotive upgrades, marine wiring, or golf cart repair/installs—secure and reliable connections are non-negotiable. This comprehensive copper wire lug and heat shrink kit is great, offering, convenience, and long-term durability. I'll probably never use the smaller sizes in this kit though. I wish there were more of the 2 gauge ends. The kit as a whole is a pretty good dealStandout FeaturesCopper Build: Crafted from heavy-duty annealed electrolytic copper, these lugs provide maximum current flow and minimal resistance. They handle high-amperage draws efficiently without generating excessive heat, outperforming cheap alloy alternatives.Corrosion-Resistant Tin Plating: Many terminals in the kit feature a protective tin coating, which prevents oxidation and corrosion—making them ideal for harsh environments like engine bays or marine bilges.Heat Shrink: The included heat shrink tubing is a game-changer. Featuring an inner layer of activated adhesive, it melts when heated to tightly seal the connection against moisture, salt, and dirt while providing robust strain relief.Clear Sizing Organization: The kit comes neatly sorted in a compartmentalized plastic storage case with clear labels, making it easy to quickly find the exact gauge and stud size you need.

These ring terminals are thicker than most, so they will support the current ratings of the wire they are designed for. Many ring terminals I have seen are made of a thin material that does not crimp well and generates heat at the ring terminal because of the lack of thickness. These lugs are a proper thickness for the size of the ring and wire, so they will do their job without excessive electrical resistance. The tubing is thicker than other products and is not split down the middle. That means you will need a top-quality crimper to get a good crimp that creates a good cold weld. I do not recommend soldering the wire to these, as you will get a lower resistance connection with a good crimp. Soldering also may create brittleness and a corrosion risk. Crimping is the industry standard for terminating wires in automotive, marine, solar, and high vibration applications. A proper crimp creates a ‘cold weld’ with very low electrical resistance. After crimping one of these, be sure to pull hard on the wire afterward to make sure it is a strong crimp that will not generate heat because of high electrical resistance. The case it comes with has the lug markings for the wire it is designed to be used with. The only crimpers you can use to get a solid crimp with very large (2 and 4 AWG wire) are a hydraulic crimper or the old-fashioned hammer/impact block crimper. I use a hammer/impact block crimper, which creates excellent crimps (I hit it with a 2-pound hammer) and is inexpensive. If you get a connection wire with an inverter that gets hot at the crimp, you can use a hammer/impact block crimper to repair the defective factory crimp. These are top-quality lugs, and I highly recommend them.

Good terminal kit for electrical cablesGood terminal kit for electrical cables

If you do work on vehicles, generators, or a fairly large assortment of farm/ranch equipment, this is a really good terminal lug kit to have on hand. It has sizes that fit most applications along with the heat shrink tubing to provide good protection for the ends. These terminal lugs are larger versions of the wire connectors that many people use, just scaled up. They are made of copper, and then tinned for corrosion prevention. You can't just put these on and use any old tool to crimp them, however; you have to have a crimper specifically made to crimp terminal ends of these sizes. Mine happens to be a hand operated hydraulic crimper with interchangeable dies; but I have seen them that use rotating dies in the jaws. Just know you will need something like that to properly crimp these on a cable. The assortment of sizes included in this kit cover the majority of sizes on most equipment and vehicles; any bigger and you're into things like 2/0 and the really big ones, and you'll need to get those terminal ends by the each usually. These are easy to put on and crimp, then simply place a heat shrink sleeve on to cover all but the loop end and shrink it in place. This makes it really easy to fix a cable instead of having to replace it, or perform a sketchy repair that will just give you more problems later.Overall, this is a really good assortment of wire terminal lugs at a very reasonable price point. You'll pay quite a bit more for a lot less of them if you go to a local hardware or auto parts store; which really underscores the value in this kit.My Rating System -Five Stars - Better than I expected; exceeded expectations.Four Stars - Met expectations; exactly what I expected.Three Stars - Average quality; nothing fancy and not quite what I expected. Two Stars - Noticeably below average; disappointed. One Star - Absolutely below expectations; not worth my time or yours.Since ratings are opinions, they vary as much as the authors that wrote them. I try to be fair with mine; if I’m not certain I will tend to give the better rating of what I am contemplating. I will describe the item as best I can from my perspective, giving what detail I think matters and try to give an accurate description as I see it. Hopefully, the review helps you.
