It actually says that far down in the longer description where all the graphics are. You can tell because it's all one color and there aren't any fibers sticking out of the twists, which you would see with natural materials in genuine rattan. One of our photos shows you a comparison. For twisted paper this isn't worth more than $10, so Mrs Aloha Friday and I are disappointed and don't think it's a good value. The quality is fine for what it is. It's small, make sure you read the dimensions. It's intended to light a small space, like a plant or reading nook, hanging with a light kit. You can get those with a hemp wire which will look good with this.

It gives me bohemian vibes which I'm very fond of. I had to replace the old and outdated lamp shade that was already torn and turned a weird yellowish color over time on my vintage, tall floor lamp. I placed the lamp shade on my antique, tall, floor lamp and it looks nice. The combination of the two pops out for sure and I get compliments from guests often. I was excited to see this item on a promo offering, as I'd been looking for one for a hanging cord kit I have, but did not want to spend $15+. This is made nicely, with a strong and rigid frame and good quality rope and weaving. The design is nice, and let's plenty of light through without looking sparse. It comes with three different adaptors or the standard one for hanging lights, so you could probably use this with either a lamp, tiny Christmas tree or outdoor type bulbs, as a ceiling fan light shade, or as just a normal hanging pendant light, depending on the light source size/type. The price is reasonable for the size and quality. If you're on the fence, definitely buy this!
