This ceiling light looks really pretty once it is installed. Installation was a little frustrating because the holes did not line up easily, and the instructions could definitely be better and more detailed.Once I finally got it installed, though, it looks great and works perfectly. The installation was the biggest challenge, but the finished light is attractive and was worth the effort.

I got this to replace an outdated ceiling fan in our den, which has a Ralph Lauren feel with navy, white, and camel colors. The ivory shade is between the white and camel, so it blends and brings a slightly modern feel to the space. This has come down in price a little since I ordered it to review. At $73, which is what the list price was when I ordered it (so I will go by that price to review it), this is less of a value in my opinion. My reasons are as follows:1. The shade is paper, not fabric adhered to a firm plastic drum, which is inherently fragile, and could get easily damaged. An errant rubber football thrown by a young son will put a real dent in this or even an electrician that is less than careful.2. This is not UL Certified for safety. The brass is a nice shade of gold and the fixture itself is a nice scale for a small room. In a larger room, or open concept space, this is going to look skimpy and under scale, so would not be suitable.

This light fixture has a really pretty, modern look with the cream textured shade and brushed gold hardware. The shade is a nice size and gives the fixture a more high end appearance than I expected. I also like that the gold finish is softer and not overly shiny, so it works well with a lot of different decor styles.Everything arrived packaged well and the pieces looked nice once taken out. The shade has a subtle texture that adds some character without being too much. Overall, it’s a beautiful fixture that can easily update a dining room, bedroom, entryway, or living space.

Boy, nothing like putting up a new ceiling light to make you realize how dirty your ceilings are. Yikes. That discovery aside, this is a nice-looking fixture overall. Once installed, it has a clean, attractive appearance and works well in the room. The hardware and mounting design, however, could use a little more refinement.Installation is straightforward enough and works with a standard ceiling electrical box using the included hardware. The biggest annoyance is that the outside diameter of the mounting bracket is smaller than the inside diameter of the upper canopy by roughly 3/16". That means if you tighten one side first, finding and lining up the screw hole on the opposite side can become an unnecessarily frustrating exercise. The screws are also positioned very close to the ceiling, which doesn't exactly make things easier. Be prepared for a little swearing. I highly recommend using a magnetic screwdriver or some other type of holder unless you enjoy repeatedly dropping screws while standing on a ladder. The lower diffuser also buffaloed me for a minute. The instructions are effectively useless in explaining how it installs, but once you figure it out, it's actually pretty simple. The diffuser rests on top of the lower ring, so you carefully angle or wedge it into place and then let it settle down onto the ring.Once everything is assembled, the fixture does look very nice. My main concern is that even when fully installed, there is still a little bit of wobble and flex in the assembly. It doesn't feel dangerous or like it's going to fall apart, but at the price, I expected the overall construction to feel a bit more solid. So overall, it's an attractive light fixture with a few unnecessarily annoying installation quirks and somewhat underwhelming hardware. We like the way it looks and will happily enjoy it....as long as nobody asks me to take it down and adjust it again.

I have an Old Fashioned glass enclosed entryway lights and I have been looking for something different without it being too over the top, or using weird bulbs or not being bright enough or being too bright. This is the bill beautifully. Was very easy to install and it looks fantastic, my only regret is I didn't get the black instead of the gold because now we've decided to change out the doorknobs for an oiled bronze so I'll just hand paint over the gold so we get something that matches better. It's really pretty, gives you a great amount of light but you have a lot of control over the way by the wattage of the bulbs that you use. This gives a classy look without being too much or too little, has a great amount of light without being too much or too little and was super easy to install. I'm kind of considering getting a second for the upstairs hallway though I don't know if that should be matchy-matchy.

This 16" double drum, semi-flush light fixture is a nice upgrade to a builder-grade ceiling light. The gold finish of the hardware looks great and coordinates nicely with the natural look of the textured Xuan paper shade. (My only complaint here is that the two short screws that mount the canopy to the ceiling plate are silver and do not match.)The light fixture itself comes completely assembled, you merely need to thread the wiring through the down rod and screw the down rod to both the fixture and the ceiling canopy. That part is easy and obvious and was the only set of "installation" instructions that came in my box. If you don't know how to electrically install a basic light fixture, you will need to find your own instructions. The wires do come "pre-stripped" so that was nice. I also felt like the ceiling plate was a little too small for the canopy, making it difficult to line up those two short (silver) mounting screws, and leaving a bit too much space for potential side-to-side wobble (although the canopy sits flush to the ceiling, which helps with that).I am impressed with how sturdy the wire framing is on this light fixture. It would take a lot to deform it. The paper shade is the most fragile part, but it does have a thin (acrylic?) liner behind it to lend it some protection. The three-light fixture uses standard E26 base bulbs, which is a bonus because they are cheap, easy to replace, and come in many styles. I would stick with LED bulbs that won't create much heat since the light shade IS paper. If you don't want to be able to look straight up into the "guts" of the fixture and see the lightbulbs, there is an included acrylic diffuser disk that installs over the opening, giving the fixture a finished look.

This 16" double drum semi-flush mount ceiling light brings a soft, elevated touch to everyday spaces. The Xuan paper shade design diffuses light beautifully, creating a warm, inviting glow that works especially well in living rooms, bedrooms, and even kitchens where you want a calmer, more relaxed atmosphere. In terms of build quality, the fixture feels thoughtfully made. The gold finish has a subtle sheen rather than anything overly flashy, which helps it blend easily with both modern and transitional décor styles. The paper shade isn’t flimsy either—it holds its shape well and gives off a consistent, even light when paired with the right bulbs.Installation is straightforward for a semi-flush mount. Most users with basic DIY experience should be able to set it up without much hassle. The design is also compatible with dimmable bulbs, which adds a lot of flexibility for setting the mood—bright and functional when needed, or soft and ambient in the evenings. From a value standpoint, it delivers a lot of visual impact without a high-end price tag. It looks more expensive than it is, which makes it a strong option if you're upgrading a room on a budget but still want something stylish and intentional. In terms of ease of use, once installed, it’s essentially maintenance-free aside from occasional dusting of the shade. The lighting effect is consistent and works well across different room sizes within its recommended range. All things considered, it’s a well-balanced fixture that combines aesthetic appeal, practicality, and affordability in a way that makes it an easy choice for a variety of home spaces.

This is a beautiful 16-inch black semi-flush ceiling light. The shade is made with XUAN paper, and it’s double drums. It also has three lights, and we work well in the hallway or the living room. The ceiling light is easy to install, according to the manufacturer, because it comes fully preassembled, which I appreciate. It uses three E26 sockets. Many of you will know that the E26 socket is the standard American lightbulb socket that’s been used for more than 120 years and you can use bulbs in this fixture up to 60 W. And I say this you should keep in mind that 9 W of LED power is the equivalent of one 100 W old style incandescent light so if you had 180 W of light in this fixture, it would literally be the amount of light that often is used for security purposes in parking lots and things of that nature be a very, very bright light so you can get lower wattage bulbs or a switch, but the choice is yoursThis slap is 16 inches wide and 12 inches high. It comes with an install plate that installs directly to a standard US junction box. It uses either an install disc or install brackets, with screws on the side with wings, or nuts on the front of the bracket and screws coming from the install plate. It appears this particular model has screws on the outside of the canopy end that connect to the wings and the installation plate.Follow the manufacturer's instructions if you wish to install it yourself. But I must give you some caveats first.First, I am absolutely certain that you located the circuit breaker control panel box in your home and that you’ve turned off the circuit breaker supplying power to the junction box you’re going to work on.Second, double-check that with an electrical testing device to make certain none of the wires in the fixture is still energizedThird, the correct way to install two wires using a wire lock nut is as follows. Take the black house service wire make certain the last half centimeters of insulation has been removed from that wire and from the fixture bar place the points pointing in the same direction cover them with a wire lock nut and turn a clockwise until a firm, mechanical and electrical connection has been established through this also with the white wire and the green wire which may be connecting to a bare wire. After you finish the basic installation, replace the canopy with the decorative screws you removed to release the install plate, and your canopy should be installed. Next, install the three E26 lightbulbs you required separately, then turn the power back on and test your dimmer switch if you acquired one.
