This YCZM 6-light modern Sputnik Chandelier is a nice, upgraded look that's in line with most current trends. I ordered it to use in our Florida home as it fits the vibe. This light, however, is the bare bones of inexpensive. All of the extras you need to make this function to it's fullest potential are add-on items as it does not come with light bulbs or a dimmer switch. The fixture itself is made from heavy-duty, high quality metal and has an anti-rust finish. I'm not sure about the long-term durability of it as it's new to us. The brightness can be dimmed without the dimmer by purchasing different light bulbs in various wattages, as it's compatible with LED, CFL, halogen or incandescent. The bars are adjustable in their position so you can push light to whatever area needs more. It's a semi-flush mount and installation was fairly simple with the included hardware. I'm just not sure I'm a fan of the design after assembling this light.

ProsThis is a six-light modern Sputnik chandelier that looks really pretty. I wanted one for one of my bathrooms, and I chose the black color. It is a close-to-ceiling, wall-mounted style, and it also comes in a gold color. I really like this one because, in my new home, I was looking forward to changing all the light fixtures, and this one seems like a great option. You can adjust the direction of the individual bulbs in different ways, which makes it versatile and easy to use in different spaces. It has six standard E26 sockets, so you can use compatible LED, CFL, halogen, or incandescent bulbs. The bulbs can be positioned to create the kind of lighting you want for your space. I think it would look great in a bathroom, bedroom, entryway, or really anywhere you want to add a modern touch.ConsThe chandelier requires six bulbs, and the bulbs are not included. It is dimmable, but you will need to purchase a compatible dimmable switch and dimmable bulbs separately.

his fixture looks fantastic once it’s up. The Sputnik design hits that sweet spot between mid-century modern and “someone in this house has considered buying a record player.” The metal feels solid, the adjustable arms let you dial in the shape instead of accepting whatever geometry the factory gods bestowed upon you, and six E26 sockets throw plenty of light around the room. Add dimmable bulbs and you can go from “pleasant evening ambiance” to “FBI interview room” with one switch.Installation is refreshingly straightforward because most of the wiring is already handled. Screw in the arms, connect the fixture, install your bulbs, and spend the next twenty minutes adjusting everything by half an inch because now that you know the arms move, symmetry has become a personal vendetta. Once you finally stop touching it, it looks considerably more expensive than it has any business looking and gives the entire room an instant upgrade.

I was a little worried this fixture might look too small in my living room, but once I added long tubular Edison bulbs, it became exactly the right size. With the extra length from the bulbs, the overall look is about 31 inches across, which gives it enough presence for the room without overwhelming it.The long bulbs made a huge difference in the finished look. They emphasize the Sputnik shape, make the fixture feel more dramatic, and give it a much more custom appearance than standard bulbs would. The bulbs themselves cost a good portion of what the fixture did, but together they create a look that feels far more expensive than the actual total.Friends have commented on it, and no one believes I paid so little. Everyone assumes it cost several times more than it did. The gold finish and adjustable arms make it interesting from every angle, and it gives the whole room a more polished, modern feel.What I like most is that it is bold without being too trendy. It has that mid-century Sputnik style, but it still works easily with the rest of my living room instead of taking over the space.Overall, this fixture completely changed the room. It adds warmth, personality, and just the right amount of drama, and I could not be happier with how it turned out.

I was really excited to receive this chandelier and originally planned to install it in my bathroom. Unfortunately, the gold finish didn't match my existing bath and shower hardware at all, so I decided to use it in my daughter's room instead.Overall, it's an attractive light fixture with a nice mid-century modern design. One thing to note is that the finish can look different depending on the lighting. In some rooms, it has a slightly greenish tint or an off-gold appearance, while in better lighting it looks exactly as I had hoped.The adjustable arms are a nice feature, but they can be difficult to keep positioned where you want them, which made installation a bit more frustrating. I also wouldn't say it looks or feels like a premium, 5-star product.That said, for the price, it's a good value and adds a stylish touch to the room. It isn't perfect, but if you're looking for an affordable modern Sputnik-style light, it's definitely worth considering.

This is Sputnik light. It gets its name from the 1957 satellite launched by the Russians, which carried a dog that orbited the globe several times. Those pictures of that satellite were in all the newspapers of the time, and it had an antenna going off and multiple different reactions. Hence, this is a split neck light, which is the same sort of thing as a center area with lights that go off in multiple directions and are adjustable, so you can change them to suit your needs. It has six bulbs, but it does not come with bulbs for this fixture. This is a hardwired fixture.It uses six 6E26 slot sockets as many of you know the E26 socket is a standard American outlaw socket for lightbulbs, but it’s been used for more than 100 years and for which there are literally thousands of different bulb combinations available with this particular socket you can pick six bulbs of your choice because they’re open and out in the air they manufacture doesn’t seem to be too concerned about the maximum wattage, but remember that when you’re getting LED lightbulbs 9 W of LED power is the equivalent of a 100 W incandescent lightbulb. Therefore, if you get six lightbulbs, you’d add up the total number of watts divided by nine and multiply by 100 to determine the equivalent load in incandescent lighting for whatever room you wish to put this in.This fixture would work well in a bedroom, dining room, living room, and other spaces. You might put it to work to have an effect on the amount of light you wish to acquire or need at any given time. If you go with higher-wattage lights, I would recommend getting a dimmer switch as well, which is not included with this fixture and will allow you to adjust the light as you choose.The installation, as per the manufacturer, is easy, with all electrical installations. I have three caveats.First, make certain that if you’re gonna do the work yourself, you turn the power off to the junction box you work on from the circuit breaker control panel box, and most home circuit breaker control panel boxes are located in the basement of the home, and some homes are located in the garage.Secondly, once you believe you have turned off the power at the junction box, use a separate electrical testing device to test each wire in the junction box to ensure the wires are still energized. I always use the device. it looks like a little red pen turned on by pushing the top when you bring the tip or where the writing material would be in the pen, electrical wire it starts chirping like a bird, and the lights start flashing if you bring it near more highly energized wire, like a 240 V wire cord. It chirps and flashes twice as fast. This is an important safety device to have with you whenever you do electrical.The third tip I’m going to give you is to know the proper way to use wire-lock nuts to connect a fixture to power. Once you thread the power lines through the install plate and connect the plate to the junction box in the correct manner, following the manufacturers instructions take the black wire from the house service side, which is 14 gauge single strand copper wire make certain last half centimeter insulation has been removed to the same thing with the black wire in the fixture place the tips adjacent to another point in the same direction and cover them with a wire lock nut turn the locknut clockwise into from mechanical and electrical connection has been established. Do the same thing with the white wire and with the green wire, which may be connected to a bare copper wire.Replace the canopy with the decorative screws on the side of the picture you removed, and tighten them. You’ve connected and wired all of the tubes at this point and screw them all together in the pattern you wish to finalize. Install the lightbulbs required separately. I hope we installed the switch as well. We’re not going to discuss here.Turn the power back on, test the circuit breaker, test your dimmer switch, and test your light fixture to make certain it works to your satisfaction.
