I wasn’t noticed it didn’t come with battery. It comes with sand paper from fine to coarse. The purpose for buying this was going to sand my dry wall with uneven patch. Then I ordered DeWalt drill with two batteries. The battery is compatible. This piece is powerful and saved my energy to sand my wall efficiently with strong sucking of all dirt (save your vacuum from dust).

This little sander has plenty of power for small woodworking and DIY projects. The cordless design makes it easy to use without dealing with a power cord, and it fits comfortably in my hand. The detail sander is a must have for home DIYers. It has a brushless motor with up to 12k RPM that provides fast sanding and polishing capability. It comes with 20pcs of sandpapers with grits from 80 to 240 for coarse and fine sanding. The application is quite wide from furniture refinishing to pain removal and polishing. The palm sander fits the dewalt battery perfectly and is easy to grip and operate.

Great, exactly what I wanted. Powerful and don't have to lug around cords. It is good to have an extra battery, so you don't have to wait to recharge the battery if you use the sander alot. Good sander.

Nice little sander that works quite well. The one caveat is the dust collector. It’s utterly useless and there’s no provision to connect it to a vacuum hose so be prepared to coat the entire room and everything in it with a fine layer of dust. I’d give it five stars if not for this severe shortcoming. On a positive note, you can fabricate an adapter to connect it to a shop vac using a 1” pvc straight coupler that has been sanded slightly inside one end to make it fit snugly over the dust collector port. You can then use short lengths of 1” pvc pipe with elbows and adapters along with a shop vac hose adapter to mate it with a standard shop vac hose. The hose adapter should be glued to a straight 1” pvc coupler. The nipple on the hose adapter will have to be trimmed so it will fit properly. You’ll need a very flexible hose to make it work without being too cumbersome.

The brushless motor has good pep, 12000 RPM chews through paint and old finish fast, and the corner/detail shape gets into tight spots a regular sander can't touch. Soft grip is comfortable for longer sessions, the dust box does a nice job keeping things clean, and the 20 included sandpapers are a great bonus so you can get started right away. Works well, saved me money, would definitely recommend.

I LOVE this detail sander. I bought it because it takes DeWalt 20V batteries that I already have. It has a lot of power. Another selling point is The dust catchment attachment is plastic (not material) and really catches the dust. It locks into place, No slipping off. The handle design makes it easy to grip and maneuver. The box included an assortment of sandpaper grits. I have used it many times and would purchase it again.
