We installed LVP throughout our home, and occasionally a gap will crop up. We tried some homemade diy tricks to close them..let's just say I'm writing this review because those tricks weren't working. We've used this tool a few times and while it's not always an easy fix, it does work and it works without marring the flooring.

Well made from a strong metal. The hammer works but is a bit light for pieces that need more pressure. It sticks pretty well to the floor but you have to hold downward pressure if you hit it very hard or it will slide. I was able to fix a spot in my floor that had separated and there was nowhere to get a regular tool in. Comes with an extra sticky piece. Good value for the money

The Jxgxax gap fixer works like a charm. It has just the right amount of stick to cling to the floorboard for horizontal tapping, but not so clingy that it is difficult to pull up vertically when you are done.Just to be clear, the tool set does not include a hammer/mallet. I used a medium size rubber mallet and it closed the gap shown in the photo in about 5 taps. The tool set doesn't include printed instructions, but the Amazon product description has a photo called "4 Easy Steps to Get the Job Done."It isn't obvious, but you need to take care of the removable plastic cover on the bottom of the tool. For most new items, I usually remove the plastic cover and throw it away; don't do that! After using the tool, the plastic cover needs to be reapplied to the sticky bottom to keep it clean. The tool set includes a spare sticky bottom, but haven't used the tool enough to need to replace it yet.Glad to have discovered the Jxgxax floor gap tool; no more "Monk moments" where things out of place bother me.

I bought the Floor Gap Fixer for Laminate, Vinyl, Hardwood because I had a few boards that had started to separate. The tool was pretty simple to use, and I was able to pull the boards back together without having to take anything apart. The sticky pad held well and the felt on the bottom kept me from worrying about scratching the floor.The metal construction gives it some weight, and the mallet worked better than I expected. I like that the pad can be reused, too. It was a lot cheaper and easier than calling someone to handle a small flooring repair.

This is a well constructed set! It works well as intended. I love the weight of the mallet, also I appreciate the double sided mallet, this was so helpful. We had many small gaps in our laminate flooring throughout the house. The one thing I was surprised by is the set did not have instructions, which is strange. I watched videos, and easily learned how to use this (as a first time user). It is fairly straightforward and much easier than having to replace pieces. After our floor started gapping (before we started using this set), some of the edges cracked. This set is worth having for any with laminate floors!
