14C28N is considered by many to be the top tier budget steel. It is tough, holds an edge decently and is stainless. That makes this gorgeous knife affordable. Kizer does an awesome job with fit and finish. It's very well made. The handle looks even better in person. The texture provides good grip. The top liner lock button is super easy to use. It deploys very easily with the thumb studs. I WOULD like to see a bit more of a slow closing action on it. Once unlocked the blade will drop shut. It's made for a safe one handed open and close where you can have your fingers completely out of the way, but do watch how that blade falls. Also it will bounce back open if you flick it closed too hard. The detent could be stronger. I collect knives, not all high end stuff, either. I bought this one because it's pretty. I do enjoy it, though it's not quite at the EDC level. It's more novelty and occasional use for me, but I do enjoy it.

First Kizer I've purchased. I can't stop playing with it. It's smooth, great action, sharp, and well balanced. The blade style is perfect for every day needs. Great option for an EDC style budget knife. This version must be an Amazon exclusive or new because I can't find it anywhere else. Probably will order another.

Excellent blade and nice mechanism

Five stars because I like this knife despite the middling Nitro-V steel. Why be a steel snob when sharpening systems exist?

Absolutely love this knife. Carries great and love the smooth & snappy action

Smooth action, fast, sharp.. literally zero blade play. This is my first Kizer, and it did not disappoint. I'm very satisfied with the finish and feel of this very capable cutting tool. I'm debating going full polish on the blade. Very sharp right outta the box. This was a fathers day present from my girlfriend.. she did great

I just received the Kizer Madrac today, but my first impression is very positive. The knife feels great in hand. The handle provides a full grip without feeling oversized, and the textured G10 offers plenty of control. The sheepfoot blade shape is exactly what I like for everyday tasks, especially opening boxes and general utility work. The action is smooth, the Clutch Lock feels solid, and the blade came sharp right out of the box.

Nice looking knife with a decent build quality. Company is reputable so expected a good low end knife. While the steel isn’t the top of the line, I think this is a good every day beater knife. I cut a few boxes and the blade stayed as sharp as it came, which was really sharp. The Nitro-V is good steel for a knife and definitely will hold up.What I didn’t like was how floppy the action is. It flips open easily but there is low resistance which to me increases the risk you’ll accidently get it whipped back onto your fingers when opening it. I prefer a bit more resistance to make sure the blade stays in forward momentum until it locks in place. The blade lock is good and solid- no slips on that. Handle feels good, size is good for an EDC, but I just can’t look past the blade opening action.Frame isn’t solid steel- it’s die cut so there are gaps on the inside of the handle so if this is used outdoors it will definitely hold dirt and debris.
