Nice, iight weight rebar bender

[Color: Red]
I've got an industrial strength rebar cutter/bender but that dude is massively heavy - my wife can't even move it. Sometimes you just need to do a few bends and there is absolutely no sense in hauling out the big guns when this little tool will do - especially if you're doing stuff out at the back 40 and have to haul every tool back and forth. For the really heavy jobs and/or the ones that involve cutting rebar too, I'll stick with the industrial model though.Welds are good as is the paint job. Comfortable handle. Solid steel. Somebody else that has tried it can comment on how well it does on 5/8" rebar - I only use up to 1/2".$34 seems reasonable for a tool this solid so I'd say if you have the need, go for it.

Not happy

Disappointed with this one of the pegs was not welded completely into the assemblyGot it replaced with a second one and on the second one one of the pegs was actually off center and bent so it wasn’t straight disappointed with that one also

Solid and Heavy Duty — Takes a Little Getting Used To

[Color: Red]
This rebar bender is built like a tank. Construction of it is impressive — thick carbon steel throughout, solid welds, and a reassuring heft that tells you it means business. It takes a little getting used to in terms of technique and positioning to get clean, consistent bends, but once you get the hang of it the leverage is excellent and it handles 5/8" rebar without straining. The anti-slip grip and non-slip base keep things controlled during operation. A well-made tool that should last a long time with regular use.

Lightweight but Powerful — Perfect for Job‑Site UseLightweight but Powerful — Perfect for Job‑Sit...

[Color: Red, Color: Red]
I ordered this manual rebar bending tool for my brother, who’s a contractor, and he absolutely loves it. He has been needing this! It’s designed for 5/8‑inch steel bar, and despite being lightweight, it feels strong, solid, and ready for real job‑site use.The tool is made from corrosion‑ and weather‑resistant metal, so it holds up well outdoors and in rough working conditions. The red finish makes it easy to spot among other tools, and the overall construction feels dependable. The anti‑slip grip is a great feature — comfortable, secure, and helpful when bending tougher steel. Even though it’s lightweight, it doesn’t feel flimsy at all.It bends up to 5/8” rebar smoothly and with good leverage. My brother mentioned that it works exactly how he needs it to on job sites — quick, controlled bends without slipping or fighting the tool. The lightweight design makes it easier to carry around, especially for my brother who moves between sites frequently. The corrosion‑resistant build is a big plus for him. Tools like this get exposed to weather, dirt, and concrete dust, so having a finish that holds up is important. This one seems ready for long‑term use.Overall it’s a solid, lightweight, and reliable rebar bending tool that performs well and feels built to last. The anti‑slip grip, weather resistance, and smooth bending action make it a great choice for contractors or DIYers working with steel bar. My brother loves it, and for a manual tool, it’s an excellent pick.

Hefty bending tool with strong weldsHefty bending tool with strong welds

[Color: Red, Color: Red]
I had no trouble in my testing putting a 90 degree bend on 1/2 inch rebar. The shaft is extra heavy gauge steel and the pegs are solidly welded into place. There is enough length for suitable leverage but not so much that it inteferes with the close quarters you find on some concrete forms. In my testing, the rebar was doing the visible bending and the tool held to its shape without noticeable deflection. The painted finish is well applied and the rubber handle cover stayed in place as I attacked my rebar piece. It is far superior to using a conduit bending jig, which I admit I may have resorted to over the years.

Manual Rebar Bender – Should Do the JobManual Rebar Bender – Should Do the Job

[Color: Red, Color: Red]
I haven't put this tool through a lot of use yet, but from looking it over and trying it out, it seems like it should do the job. It's a pretty simple, heavy-duty design, and having the reverse head gives you some flexibility when bending rebar, rod, or flat steel. The overall construction seems sturdy enough for occasional shop or job-site use. Some of the welds on mine are a little crappy and certainly aren't going to win any awards for appearance, but they look like they should hold up and do what they're supposed to do. With a tool like this, function matters more to me than pretty welds anyway. I'll know more once I've put some heavier material through it, but my initial impression is that it's a basic, functional tool that should get the job done.

Great quality for heavy work and great price for small projects.Great quality for heavy work and ...

We're doing some additions ourselves our home... laying rebar is something that was new to us at the start of this year that we've had to lay for multiple retaining walls. It's quite a pain to bend without proper tools! We're soon to tackle a large slab that will require bends... so this rebar bender was a welcome addition to our garage.I have a few photos with my review showing close-ups. It has a rubber handle to provide a solid grip; fairly comfortable. With a long handle and heavy duty build, it bent a scrap piece easy-peasy. We are REALLY looking forward to the next slab we do with this aiding us.For $35, this is well worth it to me. It is going to minimize so much labor for us!

Farm-Tested Rebar Bender That Saves Your Back – Heavy-Duty, Easy to Use & Built to Last!

[Color: Red]
This rebar bender has been an outstanding addition to our farm tools. Right out of the box, you can tell it's built tough with heavy-duty steel construction and plenty of leverage from the long 36-inch handle. It bends rebar with surprisingly little effort and handles the jobs we've thrown at it with ease. One of the best things my husband did was customize the setup a bit. He found a pipe slightly larger than the back peg, inserted it into a vise mounted on his work table, and now uses the bender at waist level instead of having to work down near the ground. It works perfectly! Not only is it more comfortable, but it also saves his back and makes bending rebar much faster and easier. The grip is comfortable, the tool feels solid and stable during use, and the reverse head design makes positioning and bending straightforward. Whether you're working on fencing, construction projects, equipment repairs, gardening structures, or general farm maintenance, this tool is incredibly handy. After using it regularly, we can confidently say this is one of those simple tools that makes a big difference. Durable, effective, and versatile, it's a fantastic investment for anyone who works around a farm, shop, or construction site. My husband loves it, and we'd definitely recommend it to anyone needing a reliable rebar bender.
