These dusk to dawn pendant lights were straightforward to wire in and the automatic sensor works reliably, coming on right at dusk without needing a separate switch or timer. The finish looks classic on our porch and matches an outdoor fixture rather than a cheap plastic look. So far they've held up fine through rain with no water getting into the housing, which was my main concern going in.

This outdoor pendant light is made of a painted black aluminum and features glass shades and a dusk to dawn sensor. It takes standard light bulbs and because of the transparent clear glass shades, I can use a nice looking old fashioned bulb or a simulated flame bulb to give it an attractive overall look. The light output is flexible since you use your own bulb you can select your own wattage output for different brightness and color temperature outputs. All hardware is included including a hanging chain and electrical wire nuts and related mounting hardware. Being outdoor rated it is water proof and should stand up to all kinds of weather but will only know over time. The built in dusk to dawn sensor works well and allows me to just keep the power switch turned on and the light will automatically turn on at night and off in the morning. So far very happy with this light and expect it to last for years to come.

At $55 when I picked this up, that felt like an average price on an outdoor pendant light like this, so a 3/5 in value. In terms of quality, this is an economical pendant light in a very common shape and look. As such, it's average, a 3/5. This was simple to install, a couple of screws to mount the base plate and then connecting a couple of wires to my main wire running from the outdoor switch, and in just 10-15 minutes, this was up and running. It has an e26 base which is my preference because I prefer to use more commonly sized bulbs if not using a full LED light. The bottom of the light fixture is open to make changing the bulb and cleaning (as bugs will get into this) simple and easy. Overall, as an outdoor light goes, this will work just fine if you're looking to add or replace one on your house. At a 3/5 in both value and quality, this is a 3/5. Average here is not a negative thing, but a positive - it does what it says it will do - sort of rating for me.
