This is a simple way to keep irrigation systems from back flowing. The part fits perfectly on a spigot and seals tight. It is well made, solid, and leak free. The price point seems to be on par with the average and they work well so I would order them again.

I have an in-ground faucet which is very hard to tighten attachments to and leaks a lot, PLUS being in-ground I am worried about back flow and leaching of chemicals. I connect it to a hose link connector, and then to a 4-valve wifi box for watering plants with misters and drippers.I've used plastic bib connectors in the past, and they either leak or they crack when you tighten too hard. And they only last a year or two -- maybe three tops.I switched to brass and have the opportunity to test this product. It is great. As you can see in the photo, the water is ON right now but there is absolutely no leaking which is in contrast to the cheaper, plastic ones. When the water shuts off, the water in the line and box now leaks right down the open ports of the brass fitting like it is supposed to -- BUT it does not allow leaking from the main line (so no active drip/leak of new water). This is what you want, a complete cut off between the water in teh lines and the water in the main feed which can go back into your home and drinking water. So this little brass piece works great and has a blowout screw to tighten too.Overall we are using this in the in-ground, sub surface hose bib and it has held perfectly for several weeks. I feel confident in this brand. It is a little expensive but that is brass, and, unless you let it get frozen/ice break (so take off before winter!), this should last for a long, long time. Came with extra rubber rings and they are pretty standard size anyway at big box stores. Highly recommend!

Well-made brass vacuum breakers

[Number of Items: 4]
These brass vacuum breakers did not work for what I imagined I needed them for when I was trying to replace some stripped-out threads. That said, they are well made and feel very solid. The brass construction looks durable and the threads are clean. I will hold on to them for future use on standard hose bibs where a backflow preventer is needed. Nice quality parts even if they were not the exact solution for my original problem.

These backflow preventers are sometimes a mandatory item for home inspections in some areas so by getting these, it provided a simple solution. If you need it for your home, then I can recommend. It is easy to install and use, is made of brass material and you can show the inspector you are in compliance. It also has a locking nut so that it is harder to steal. All in all, a good buy, made of brass, install easily and has a locking nut.

I thought it was worthwhile having a backflow preventer in one location that has a hose that is usually under high pressure and varying pressure in the house-side. This pressure-relieving backflow preventer worked when I tested it. When the pressure upstream dropped, the pressure from the hose pushed water out the relief ports on the bib connector. The small set screw is useful to make sure the bib doesn't loosen or pop off when the pressure changes (once or frequently). The construction is good and avoids galvanic corrosion when attached long-term to a brass spigot. I like that it has an arrow, to remind you what direction you need to install this. This isn't needed by everyone, but it is well constructed and works.a single unit is very inexpensive but 2 and 4 packs, are 40% cheaper.

This MISPIRE 3/4 inch brass hose bib backflow preventer appears well made. There isn't a huge amount to say about a part like this, since its job is simple, but the build quality is solid.I am using it on the RV side of my black tank flush system hose, specifically to prevent any chance of black tank water siphoning back into the fresh water hose. That's an important safety measure for anyone doing black tank flushes, so having a reliable backflow preventer is a good idea. The threads are clean and machined well, with no burrs or rough spots, so it should thread on smoothly and seal properly. The knurling on the grip is also good, making it easy to hand tighten securely.Overall, a solid, no frills brass backflow preventer that does exactly what it needs to.

[Number of Items: 2, Number of Items: 2]
The 3/4 inch hose bib back flow preventer is made of quality brass and connects to your typical gardening/exterior water spigots with 3/4 inch Garden Hose Thread. It creates a vacuum and prevents water passing through it from flowing back in reverse as water tends to do when pressure or flow is removed. You never know what is growing in your old, potentially moldy garden hose so it is very important that you don’t allow water to flow back. Usually you can depend on gravity to do the work but why take any chances especially if someone could potentially lift up the hose on one end and unwitting create pressure for back flow? This preventer will simply prevent it from happening because of, well, physics. It is an extra layer of insurance you can easily do (twist off existing garden hose, twist on this preventer, and twist on the hose and done). Easy to use and a great value for your money for its functionality and cost. The best part is you get two in this pack for two spigots. Five stars!

Good quality, value, and piece of mind.

Full Disclosure: I received this product free of charge [Amazon Vine program] in exchange for my true, honest, and unbiased product review and evaluation, which follows:These hose-bib backflow preventers are pretty nice. These backflow preventers seem very well made with a high quality solid brass material. Please know that these are now required by code in many/most municipalities...and for good reason. I like the fact that these are a solid one-piece construction of solid brass and have a 125/PSI rating which is 2 to 3 times your normal household water pressure. Perfect for releasing water and air pressure in the ever popular expanding type of hoses, as well as traditional type of rubber garden hoses that can build pressure with heat...no more burst hoses! And being 100% mechanical, they should last for years, in not decades. Super easy to install, just be sure to securely tighten the set screw. A simple and inexpensive insurance policy for your household water supply and hoses.Bottom line, these hose-bib backflow preventers are pretty nice. They offer great quality, value, and piece of mind. I would definitely order again, and as such, I would certainly recommend.Thank you for taking time to read my review.
