This 3-in-1 light socket adapter is a clever and practical product, especially in areas where there aren't enough outlets available. I tested it in a utility area, and it was incredibly easy to install. Simply screw it into a standard E26/E27 light socket, install the bulb, and you instantly gain access to a grounded three-prong outlet while still being able to use the light fixture. What I like most is that it doesn't sacrifice the light socket to add power. You can continue using the light while also plugging in equipment, chargers, shop lights, or other devices. This makes it especially useful in garages, basements, workshops, porches, and storage areas. The adapter feels solid and well-made, and the outlet holds plugs securely. It's a much cleaner and more convenient option than running extension cords from a distant wall outlet. For older spaces where outlets are limited, this can be a real game changer.I can see this being particularly useful for seasonal lighting, security cameras, charging tools, or powering small appliances in work areas. The compact design keeps everything neat and doesn't add excessive bulk to the fixture.Overall, this is a simple yet highly functional product that does exactly what it promises. If you need both light and power from the same fixture, this adapter is an easy and affordable solution.

This light socket adapter is really handy and easy to use. I needed an extra outlet in my garage, and this worked perfectly without having to install anything complicated. I like that it gives me multiple ways to plug things in, and the extension cord makes it easier to reach where I need it. The adapter feels sturdy and works well with my regular light socket. Great little item to have around the house, especially for the garage, porch, or basement

It is a nice design. The plug wire is thick so you shouldn’t worry about excessive voltage high

This 3 in 1 Light Socket Outlet Adapter, E26/27 Plug Adapter, 3 Prong lets my front porch do double duty. The light bulb is temporarily removed, the socket outlet adapter is installed and the bulb replaced into the new socket. My porch light functions as normal - but now my string of bistro lights can plug into the adapter and I can run both. It is super easy to install. This is a highly functional electrical component. Easy to use and compatible with standard lightbulbs. While I’ve only just installed this, it is too early to comment on durability. Although I will say this is well made and a good quality and am not anticipating part failure. Excellent value for the money.

I didn't notice this was limited to 800W when I got this. Luckily, I don't need it to pull that much power, but I won't be too far from its max. I have found myself in need of many similar adapters in recent past in older basements or shops that are wired for single bulbs in large spaces. I typically use these to add lighting a few feet away and then put a multi-directional fixture in the socket.Installing this is pretty straightforward. You screw it in, screw a bulb into it, plug something into the cord, the end. The adapter adds quite a bit of versatility to spaces that don't have a lot of electrical runs. You can gain an outlet while also maintaining your lighting. No fussing with electrical connectivity. These are simple yet very functional.Overall these are a great value for the money. I would just make sure you don't exceed the load this adapter is rated to handle.

Got a switched or always-on light fixture outside your home/barn/ADU where you really need a power outlet but do not have one? Here is a little product I bet you didn’t know existed! This is a socket adapter that you screw into your existing light fixture, while keeping the light socket fully functional on one end, and adding a grounded three-prong power outlet on the other, so you can plug in hedge trimmers, an electric blower, a lava lamp, or whatever else you need power for in that spot. These adapters may have been common at some point in the past, but I have not seen one recently, and definitely not one with a grounded prong on the outlet, so this feels like a bit of a rediscovery. Yes, the housing is plastic, and I was able to screw it into the socket and add the light bulb back in on the other end without issue, since the fixture I have outside does not have a globe or cover restricting access. If you have a carriage light or another style of decorative outdoor fixture with a globe, this may not work for you, since it adds an additional four or five inches of length to the bulb, and that extra length may not fit inside an enclosed fixture. If you have an open floodlight setup like mine, it screws in easily and stays in place without any fuss. One thing worth flagging clearly: Comparable versions of this exact product are rated for up to 800 watts and are specifically built for low-power applications (no toaster ovens, yo) and decorative lighting, not high-power tools, and they are not rated for wet locations. Most electric hedge trimmers and blowers can draw under that 800 watt limit, so power capacity is unlikely to be a problem for typical yard tools. The wet location rating matters more. This is meant for covered or protected fixtures, not fully exposed outdoor spots that see direct rain, so an open floodlight housing like mine, which stays dry under an eave, is a reasonable fit, but a fixture with no overhead protection at all is not.I do not know how this will hold up long term, especially since my floodlight housing sits in direct sunlight for a good part of the day. I imagine most people would treat this as a temporary solution rather than something to leave in place indefinitely, but I am planning to leave mine installed long term and see how it holds up.5 out of 5 stars for having a grounded plug, ease of use, proper fitment, and decent build quality.Helpful Hints & Suggestions:• Confirm your fixture has no enclosing globe or cover before ordering. This adapter adds roughly four to five inches of length to the bulb, and an enclosed fixture will not have room for that extra length.• Keep this installed only in covered or protected fixtures, such as an eave-mounted floodlight. It is not rated for wet locations, so fully exposed outdoor spots without overhead protection are not a good fit.• Check the wattage rating before plugging in any tool or appliance. Comparable versions of this product top out around 800 watts, which covers most hedge trimmers and blowers, but verify your specific tool's draw before relying on it for heavier equipment.• If your fixture sits in direct sunlight for extended periods, keep an eye on the plastic housing over time for any signs of UV degradation, since prolonged sun exposure can make plastic more brittle over months and years of use.• Always turn off power to the fixture before installing this adapter, and confirm the bulb reinstalls securely on the opposite end before restoring power.Item Title (as received): 3 in 1 Light Socket Outlet Adapter, E26/E27 Plug Adapter, 3 Prong, Adds A Grounded Outlet While Keeping The Light Socket AvailableItem ASIN: B0GYX7KNK7Item UPC: N/A

This adapter is perfect when you need to quickly add an outlet via a light socket without running a new line. This was my use case for a room in my basement without any outlets, that I’m repurposing to use as a makeshift workshop where I need to power low wattage devices and charge my power tools. The overall build quality is decently robust and while the product states that it’s “made with durable heat-resistant materials”, I believe the female socket is made of plastic rather than ceramic and supporting my suspicion is that it’s limited to a rather low 30W max per the product picture. This generally shouldn’t be an issue since most standard E26 LED bulbs fall below that limit. While the outlet has a ground, it is not in fact “grounded” as stated in one of the product pictures since light sockets only feature the hot and neutral connections. I verified that it was correctly wired (check pic where tester indicated “Open Ground” but otherwise it's wired correctly). While this makes it convenient to connect a grounded device, just keep that in mind if it’s important to you. A word of warning is that the product pic shows the outlet has a Max Wattage of 800 but keep in mind that most standard E26 sockets are only rated between 60-250W and though some ceramic ones are rated as high as 660W, it still falls short of the 800W specified. Also, one of the pictures states "360 degree rotatable", but this is one solid adpater with no swiveling points or adjustability possible; you can't swivel the cord to a specific orientation. Last but not least, I wished it had a pull switch to shut off the outlet which would've given it added functionality and increased its versatility but at the current asking price, it still offers good bang for the buck. As I’m paying heed to safety measures, this adapter should serve my needs well for many years to come.
