I am incredibly impressed with the overall quality and durability of this plug. It feels exceptionally sturdy and well-constructed, making it an excellent value for the money compared to other options I have considered. The fit is absolutely perfect for my specific equipment, and the installation process was straightforward and incredibly easy to manage. It has integrated seamlessly into my current setup, and I am highly satisfied with how reliably it performs during operation. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a dependable and high-quality industrial-grade solution.

I needed to make a new extension cord for my welder and this end worked great. I used this on a length of 6awg cable and it fit well and the lugs had no problem tightening down on the wires. I had previously used an end from the local big box store on another cable, and the plastic on it seems much more brittle than the durable plastic housing that is on this cable end. The price is also better than what I could pick up the inferior end locally for. The connector is a tight fit with its mating half and makes for an easy and secure setup. Overall, I am really pleased with this end and would recommend it!

Very nice 6-50 male plug!Installation was pretty straight forward, but did take a little finesse to get the wire in place. Heavy gauge wire is not easy to bend in small places. But overall, that did not detract anything from my opinion. The plug is almost identical to most other 6-50 plugs and fits perfectly with the several outlets I have/use.the plastic it is molded out of feels nice and think and should be very durable in a shop, field setting.Overall, this is definitely worth the price for fixing or making your own cords!

This plug is working out pretty well for me so far. I'm in the process of making a new 50 amp cord to use between our generator doghouse and the outlet on the back of our garage for power outages. We recently upgraded our generator and need a good safe 50 amp connection. The construction and overall quality of the connector look to be pretty good. The connector also has finger loops on the backside. That seems odd to me but I guess it will serve as a good solid grip point when we unplug the cord from the generator or garage outlet.

Okay so it was time to address the elephant in the shop - my welder extension cord. I don’t normally have to use the extension on a daily basis, but from time to time I need to move the welder to the other side of the shop or just out the door. The plug I had been using was getting pretty ratty as you can only do so much with duct tape and electrical tape - besides, it just didn’t look very professional. So when this plug came available, I knew exactly what I had to do. For under $16 for a high quality ETL listed plug, it’s a great value. There’s not a LOT of room inside for your connections, but just enough so the installation is pretty easy.. The strain relief is strong and ready hangs onto the cable tightly and seems very durable. The 3-hole grip on the back is great to help pull that plug out of a tough socket. If you have need of a NEMA 6-50P, check this one out.I hope this helps you make your decision!I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give this 3-prong plug my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 5 stars!

I ordered this plug along with the matching female receptacle for a project where I needed to build an extension cord for my welder. The Amazon description was accurate, but I didn't read it closely enough to appreciate all of its features before ordering. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. One feature that immediately caught my attention was the three finger holes molded into the back of both the plug and receptacle. Anyone who has used a 50-amp connector knows they can sometimes be difficult to unplug. The finger holes provide an excellent grip and make connecting and disconnecting the cord much easier. It's a simple feature, but one I think I'll appreciate every time I use it.I haven't assembled the extension cord yet because I'm still waiting for the cable to arrive. From everything I've seen so far, though, these connectors appear to be well made and should work perfectly. The instructions are clear, easy to follow, and include helpful line drawings. They're printed in English on one side and French on the other.Inside the connector is a strain-relief clamp that accepts cable up to 6 AWG, 3-conductor. The flexible insert under the clamp should grip the cable securely without damaging the insulation, helping prevent the cord from being pulled out of the connector. The outer housing is made from a durable hard plastic that feels solid and well constructed.I'll be using these connectors on a welder extension cord, but they should work equally well for other compatible 220V, 240V, or 250V equipment. They're available in both black and yellow. I ordered one of each color, which makes it easy to identify the correct end of the extension cord at a glance.Overall, I'm impressed with the quality and design. Based on what I've seen so far, I would have no hesitation recommending these connectors to anyone building a new extension cord or replacing worn ends on an existing one.
