just what it should bejust what it should be

[Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT, Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT]
I need some wire to hook up a lithium battery bank and this heavy duty 6 AWG wire should be just the thing. 6 AWG wire will carry 300A with about a 2.5% voltage drop. That should be sufficient the jumpering between batteries for my 1500W inverter. The cable is well constructed and is clearly of proper copper.

Good wire, no surprisesGood wire, no surprises

[Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT, Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT]
This is some decent battery cable. Length is EXACTLY 5 feet so they aren't giving any extra nor are they skimping. It slightly beats the 6awg standard so you're getting your moneys worth. It seems to be priced around the same as other wires on Amazon so the value is decent. It's CCA but with copper prices you're paying double or more for OFC. They very clearly state it's CCA and don't try to hide anything though. The wire is decently flexible and has a thick PVC jacket. It's no silicone wire but should be plenty flexible for automotive/marine applications.Overall nothing "blows me away" about this wire as for value, flexibility, etc but everything is up to spec. If I need more I would 100% go with this brand again because I know the quality is decent and there's no false advertising like you see with some other wires (listing CCA as OFC, smaller than advertised awg, etc)

Good Wire to Keep Around

[Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT]
I do a lot of electrical work on trucks and equipment and this is handy wire to have around for different projects. The insulation feels good and it's flexible enough to route without fighting it. It cuts and strips easy and worked fine for what I needed it for. Just keep in mind this is CCA and not pure copper, but for the right application it works good. Five feet is a decent amount to keep in the toolbox for smaller wiring jobs.

Really 6awg... unfortunately its still CCAReally 6awg... unfortunately its still CCA

[Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT, Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT]
This is a hard one to rate because I ordered a clearly labeled CCA wire and then immediately thought "ugh, CCA" when it showed up lol. So I cant exactly beat up the seller for sending exactly what they advertised. And thats actually the important part here... the listing is pretty accurate. There might be a tiny bit of marketing fluff but it isnt pretending this is pure copper, it says copper clad aluminum and thats what you get. Even more surprising, I measured the conductor and it actually comes out where 6awg should be. So the review I saw complaining the "wire isnt thick enough" made me laugh a little. American Wire Gauge is an actual measurement, not an opinion. If you need more conductor, buy a larger gauge or spend more for better cable.now the stuff I dont like. Its a short piece and for over a buck a foot I really dont love the value considering this is CCA. The insulation is also HARD... like cheap jumper cable PVC hard. Bend it sharply or cut into it and you get that white stress discoloration in the jacket, not exactly confidence inspiring. Itll work, but this isnt that soft flexible cable you route around corners and actually enjoy working with. But here again, they clearly told me “pvc jacket” and the images for the product are 100% you can clearly see the jacket. So…. I cant derate it for that. Craftsmanship seems fine otherwise and the conductor is reasonably consistent from what I can tell, but CCA is still CCA and I would absolutely account for that when deciding wire size and what kind of load im putting through it.Im picky about wire, probably more than most people, so theres that. For battery, amplifier, trailer, etc wiring projects I personally would rather pay more and use copper when it matters, especially for higher current stuff. But I also cant pretend this deserves a terrible score because I dont like CCA when the listing plainly told me it was CCA before I ordered it.Would I buy it again? nope. Would I call it falsely advertised junk? also nope.It is actually 6awg, description is pretty accurate, usable for the right project... insulation is cheap and stiff, value isnt amazing, and yep, its CCA.somehow I talked myself into this...4/5 stars

Hefty power cable for 12-volt projects in car or on the workbenchHefty power cable for 12-volt pr...

[Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT, Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT]
This is a seriously substantial piece of power cable. I got the 6 AWG, 5-foot version, and it is exactly the sort of heavy cable that is useful to have around the shop when you need to move some serious current. The cable is very well made, with lots of fine strands and a heavy protective outer insulation. For something this large it is surprisingly flexible, so it isn't too difficult to route around corners or through a tight space. The red and black insulation also makes identifying polarity nice and easy. One thing that is important to understand is that this is CCA — copper-clad aluminum — and not solid copper. That's not a problem for many applications, but you do need to take it into consideration when you're dealing with very high current or long cable runs. If you need the electrical performance of pure copper, then buy pure copper cable. For many automotive, RV, battery, solar and other 12-volt projects, however, CCA can be a very economical way to get a lot of cable for your money. The 6 AWG size and 5-foot length make this particularly useful for short power runs where you need a hefty conductor. It strips and terminates normally with appropriate lugs, and the insulation feels like it will hold up well in an automotive or shop environment. For the price, I think this is a very good cable to have on hand. Just understand what you're buying — 6 AWG CCA, not 6 AWG pure copper — and use it appropriately. For the right application, it's a substantial, well-made and very useful piece of wire.

I'm relocating the house batteries in my RV, and needed some wire to make the main parallel connections. These wires will work perfectly. This is copper clad aluminum, not actual full copper, so less expensive, but also has a much higher voltage drop and cannot handle as much current. At 5 feet, this wire can handle 65 amps, so plenty for my use case, but if you're powering a heavy load like a winch or starter motor, you'll need to go heavier, or all copper.Price wise, at $1.29/ft, this is priced at the top end of normal. Not unreasonable, but not a bargain either.Overall, useful wire for moderately high current 12 volt projects, and a good value for the convenience.

[Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT, Color: 6AWG, Size: 5FT]
The wire is flexible, easy to work with, and the insulation feels durable. It works perfectly fine for basic wiring setups and lighter power demands. However, be aware that this is Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA), not 100% pure oxygen-free copper. Because aluminum has higher resistance than pure copper, you might want to size up or look for pure copper if you are running heavy car audio amplifiers or high-amperage systems. Still, for the price and standard projects, it's a solid 4-star choice.
