This is the part I didn't expect to love: the same switch does both jobs. I used a pair as a 3-way for the staircase (both ends stay smart, no companion switch needed) and dropped a single one in the garage as a plain single-pole switch. I didn't have to buy two different models or figure out which "position" each switch had to go in. If you're upgrading a whole house with a mix of 3-way and single-pole circuits, this one SKU covers all of it.

The one thing to check before ordering: it needs a neutral wire (our box had one, so no problem) and it's on/off only, not a dimmer.
