This light has an off-white flower shade that is made of fabric instead of glass. Because of that, it will collect dust so that is something to be aware of. The light itself seems decently well-made. The appearance has a bit of a whimsical quality due to the flower-scalloped shade.Installation is straight-forward. Base is basic black matte. I would have been nice if they had tied some of the round lines and whimsy into the base as well.

being mounted on the ceiling, this fixture is going to be harder to keep clean than I'd like since the shade is fabric instead of glass. dust and residue will show on it eventually, and there's no wiping it down the way you can with a hard surface, so that's worth knowing going in.that said, the look makes up for the extra maintenance. the fabric has a sheen to it that catches light nicely, shiny enough to look glowing under a bulb instead of flat or dull, and paired with the gold finish it reads as a much more expensive fixture than it actually is. it has a vintage feel that works well in a hallway or entryway type space.it also pairs well with motion sensor bulbs since the shade is open at the bottom and doesn't block the sensor from picking up movement, which isn't something every fixture like this gets right.installation was straightforward too, nothing complicated about mounting it, and it went up without needing to consult the instructions more than once.if you don't mind reaching for a duster or vacuum more than you would with glass, this is a good pick for the look alone.

Like another reviewer, even though the title says "fabric shade" for some reason I thought this would be glass. It is an old-fashioned looking fabric shade. It's nice, though, and will add a unique look wherever you put it. I'm going to add it to a closet with a high ceiling because you can use a bright, standard bulb in it and it doesn't diffuse the light so it will light the closet well.The shade is veering on too yellow but it works. I would prefer less yellow to the off-white to make a richer cream color. The black metal base looks nice and install looks standard.

This is a nice quality semi-flush mount light. At first, I thought the shade was going to be glass based on the pictures, but it’s actually fabric and very lightweight. Once I realized that, I still liked the look.The fabric shade gives it a softer, warmer feel than a basic ceiling light. The black fixture mixed with the light shade has a nice farmhouse/modern look that would work well in a hallway, entryway, bedroom, closet, laundry room, or small office.We’re still deciding where to mount it in our new house, but we really like the colors and overall vibe. It looks clean without being too plain, and it should be easy to match with a lot of decor styles.It uses a standard E26 bulb, which is nice because you can choose your own brightness and color temperature. For under $50, I think it’s a decent value as long as you’re expecting a fabric shade instead of glass.

This flush mount is about as basic as it gets, yet it is super elegant and soft. The linen shade filters the light beautifully and provides a welcoming glow. It comes with a basic mounting plate and installation couldn't be simpler. Takes a regular bulb and is easy to assemble. I think its a good deal. I like the gold fixture as it adds to the softness of the linen shade. Very nice indeed. Would recommend. 5/5(I used a rechargeable bulb to show you a glimpse of what it could look like, but it doesn't do the piece justice)
