I got these to replace some burned out bulbs on my outdoor string lights and they work great. The warm white color is actually really close to the original incandescent look - not that harsh blue-ish white you get with some LEDs. They fit the E12 base perfectly and screwed in without any issues. I like that they are shatterproof since I have mine hanging over a concrete patio and we get some wind gusts occasionally. These are plastic so no worries about them breaking. They seem fairly durable and the fact that you get 10 in a pack is nice to have extras on hand. They are dimmable too which works well with my string lights that have a dimmer switch on them. For the price, these are a good alternative to keep your outdoor lights going without having to buy a whole new string setup. Energy saving is a plus, though honestly I mainly just wanted something that would last longer than the old bulbs kept burning out.

This item arrives in a small cardboard box, inside the bulbs are tightly packed without any protection between bulbs. These bulbs are for a E12 socket — E12 is 12mm across (.5in) and is the small socket. A standard lightbulb is an E26. The bulbs are made from plastic and measure 2.6in (67mm) from end to end not measuring the socket. It measures 1.5in (38mm) at its widest. There are 6 bulbs in the box.Positive: They have a nice warm glow to them. After 10 minutes they are still touchable and not hot. I like this for use on kids lamps.Negative: I understand they are made from plastic and not glass but I’d still like to see some care in shipping and have a layer of tissue paper at the least.Final Thought: Arrives in basic packaging that could have been packed a little more delicately.

I ordered these bulbs to use in a sconce light that I recently added to my closet addition. I wanted a soft effect similar to a night light. They turn out to be exactly what I was hoping for. Since they are the 7-watt equivalent (only using 0.6W), the light is definitely dim, but it provides just enough brightness to let me see what I'm doing without having to blast myself with the main, bright closet light. It gives off a really nice, cozy glow and work perfectly for this kind of setup.I do have a set of outdoor string lights and I wasn’t even thinking about using them in it, but they would work perfectly for that when one burns out. They are a plastic material so you don’t have to worry about them breaking. I love the Edison style. The price is great for 6 bulbs.
