The collet is a perfect fit for my new DeWalt 616 router. As a weekend DIYer I've amassed a vast collection of 1/4 and 1/2 bits from local garage sales and I was very disappointed that my new router supports only the 1/4 inch bits.This 1/2 collet saved the day. It fit both the router and my 1/2 bits like a glove. It's well made and looks durable. I have not had any issue with bits slipping or getting stuck.I normally use a router table with a fence unless the piece I'm working on is too big to fit on the table.

Perfect Fit for my Dewalt 618 router. Collet will fit Dewalt DW616 DW618 DW621 DW622 DW626, and Bosch 1617 1618 1613. This collet is exactly what I needed, and I have been impressed with the quality. It fits securely and feels sturdy, indicating that it should last a long time under regular use. The craftsmanship is evident, and it operates smoothly, making my routing tasks much more efficient. One thing to note, the size of the collet nut is 24mm, where the stock DeWalt Collet nut is 22MM. 24MM is the normal size for a Bosch router collet. Does not affect anything, works fine, and I already had a 24MM wrench for my Bosch routers, so not an issue. Collet threaded onto my router smoothly and to the same depth as the OEM collet. I tightened it down, with no bit, and ran the router. No vibration and it runs true. Loaded collet with a 3/8" rabbetting bit. No vibration, ran true, and cut like it should. I’m really happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable router collet.
