I love the finish on these sturdy and stylish coat hooks, too much to mount them on the wall! I am making a backing board out of a nice piece of black walnut to mount them on, to showcase the lovely champagne bronze coloring. They're going to look great in my entryway! Oh, I guess I should mention that the package includes matching screws and mounting hardware. Good deal!

Excellent Quality Hooks for a Great Price!I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived because they are quite a bit bigger than I expected, which ended up being a good thing. They feel very sturdy and heavy-duty, not flimsy like some coat hooks I've purchased in the past. These are very nice hooks. Not the cheap thin metal so many are made from. The design is attractive and not too ornate. They feel really strong. I tried to bend one of the hooks down but no go. It's stronger than me.The only thing that had me concerned was the little plastic anchors that you push into the wall first and then screw into it while hanging the hook. These things are pitiful and I've never seen one that would hold in drywall. Invariably pulls out. Considering the size of the mounting disk, I am going to take measurements and find some smaller devices like a Molly bolt that really expands behind the drywall and doesn't pull out but also doesn't show on the wall. There are so many good fasteners available on Amazon, if you are mechanically inclined, you could guestimate the size pretty close and just order them. I'm leaning toward the skinny bolt with the foldable wings that screw on the end (Toggle bolts?) These come in fairly small sizes altho I doubt they come in black. Anybody got a Sharpie? Amazon has those too!Alternatively, you could get some wooden shaped craft pieces about 6" in diameter. Paint or stain, attach that to the wall with a larger anchor and then screw the hook to that.

The set includes two different screw lengths along with wall anchors, which I appreciated. I used the longer screws since they matched the ones I removed. The countersunk mounting holes worked exactly as they should, allowing the screw heads to sit flush for a clean, finished appearance.The mounting holes didn’t line up with my previous hooks, but that wasn’t a problem since the included screws are self-tapping and made installation quick and easy.The matte black finish is one of my favorite features—it’s smooth and consistent with no thin spots, scratches, or imperfections that I could find. The coating actually feels thicker than the finish on a much more expensive name-brand matte black doorknob I purchased, which is already starting to show chipping and wear. Even after slipping with my screw gun a few times during installation, neither the hook finish nor the black screw heads showed any scratches or chipping.Most importantly, these hooks feel built to last. One of mine is currently holding my husband’s heavy work backpack without any flex or looseness, and items hang much better than they did on my smaller previous hooks.After installing these, I liked them enough that I’m ordering another set to replace the remaining hooks on the opposite side of my stairwell.
