Clear Tarp Heavy Duty Waterproof

Fantastic value for a small clear tarp, I got the 3 x 6 which is listed for around $10. This is great to block wind by my outdoor pergola, as well as makes a good floor tarp for the kids messy projects like painting. I mean you know all the things you can use a tarp for, the fact that it is clear and a good thickness making it puncture resistant, is fantastic. You can protect plants from heavy wind and storms, and the grommets make it easy to secure. This size tarp is about the price of a latte at my local coffee shop so I would say that this is well worth it.

I got this because it is clear and a manageable size. I periodically need to cover my belongings as I live in a camper in the PNW, and it is nice to maintain visual of the items beneath. This is a quite thick tarp which feels especially well made. Defo thicker than an average blue tarp. I'd be cautious to put the harsh weather against the correct side of the tarp, because one side is where the seams have an opening and I would think that should stay as dry as possible since there's the black non-tarp material inside along the whole border (seen in my pic). I'm new to it but I'm really into this style of tarp, and it seems like it will last longer than my previous ones. If so then I would get more from the same seller if needed. The zip ties and rope may come in handy to elevate the tarp.

This is a very clear PVC tarp which makes it ideal for patios and canopies. The rain is coming, but do you really want to use a standard tarp when you can use a transparent tarp? I think for a patio, paying more for a transparent tarp is well worth it, even if it will be used for only a very short period.The quality of the PVC of this tarp is great. It’s very flexible and it’s thick, and it’s very clear. The edges are created by folding the PVC over a black strap—probably polyester—sewing the fold together through the strap, attaching grommets through the PVC and strap, and attaching a grommet at each corner through a plastic reinforcement and through the strap and PVC. All good, right?Well, the quality of the sewing is a little questionable. Sewing through a doubled layer of PVC and a polyester strap is surely no easy task. Does that justify a lax of quality control about the sewing? I’ll let it go but knock one star off. I think this tarp will hold up fine despite the fact that there are loose threads in lots of places and apparently some spots where the thread broke under the PVC. The grommets should hold everything together well enough.I’d been thinking of purchasing a transparent tarp for my patio so I ordered this 3’ x 6’ version for a test. It came just in time. We had a hurricane passing just to the south of us. Our patio faces south and most of the rain showers come out of the northeast on the tradewinds, so rain going into the patio is not usually a problem. The times it is a problem is when the rain is being blown by a strong wind from the south. I used the zip ties to attach two of the grommets of the short end of the tarp to hooks in the crossbeam in the front of the patio and the included rope to attach the other corner and all the grommets on that long side of the tarp to a column in the patio that the crossbeam is rested on. In this spot the tarp is right in front of a table there which has a pile of stuff on it. The bottom of the tarp is attached with rope to the table legs. We didn’t catch hurricane level winds—only moderate tropical storm level winds—and I’m happy to report that after a night of strong wind and rain, the stuff on the table hardly got wet. Of course, a much larger tarp would have done an even better job as long as it was secured correctly. I’m very satisfied with the performance of the tarp and I don’t see any problems developing in the construction after the beating.

Great thick and clear tarp. When things are kept outside, it doesn't matter what kind of temporary cover I use, it will eventually succumb to the elements. I needed this one to cover some wood I've been protecting until I find a use for it. This tarp has a well stitched fabric edge with grommets with which, I can tie the provided rope to it to stop it from blowing away in one of our heavy storms. I'm really pleased with the thickness and durability of the material, it feels like it will withstand the wind and the rain very easily and it's a nice size too because when they're too big, I find they can sometimes be hard to manage by myself.

I am very favorably impressed by the high quality of this tarp. It is very thick waterproof translucent vinyl. It stops wind and rain but lets sunlight in. That makes it perfect for greenhouses, verandas, porches, even gazebos. Any place that you want to make a little less outdoorsy at least for a while. I love it.As well as the tarp with the strong black rimmed trim for even more strength the tarp comes with a free bonus: twine for tying it down. It's like army 550 cord but in civilian colors, a modern synthetic rope about 1/4 inch in diameter. Although that rope isn't thick enough to bear an adult load safely it is more than strong enough and long enough to completely tie down your tarp so the wind will never blow it away. But wait, there's more free value! Tie-downs, like zip ties are also included so you can make your tarp even more secured against winds.It's simply high quality value on top of value making it well worth the price.Whether for a lean to, greenhouse, a tarp or covering for your outdoor structure this tarp is wonderful, excellent quality. I give it my highest recommendation. It looks even better than the pictures on the Amazon sales page and is delivered in a transparent thick sack for one last bonus. The sack is "only" 1/16 inch thick, still durable enough for at least some outdoor uses. The tarp is about 1/4 inch thick. I still can't believe my eyes. Read the measurements in case my old eyes are mistaken but this is durable as it gets and will 100% keep me warm and dry on my covered porch in rain or snow which is exactly why I got it.Only downside? Don't put it near an open flame. Plastics can burn and melt. If used near open flames make sure there is adequate ventilation so you don't wind up breathing smoke or gasses.Product is fantastic: enjoy! I sure will!

I bought this clear tarp to add some protection to my tractor during bad weather, and it's worked out exactly as I hoped. I attached it to the canopy to help block the wind, rain, and snow while still being able to see clearly, and the transparent material makes a big difference compared to using a regular tarp.The vinyl feels thick and durable, and the reinforced grommets make it easy to secure with the included rope and zip ties. Once installed, it stays in place well and provides just enough protection to make working outside much more comfortable without spending a lot on a full enclosure.I also like that it lets plenty of light through and doesn't block my view while operating the tractor. When winter approaches, I cover up some of the hardware cloth areas of my chickens' enclosed run - but I don't want to block out all of the light. This clear vinyl tarp is perfect to use as a temporary "window" to block out the cold wind yest still let the sun shine in. At 3 foot by 6 foot, this tarp is the perfect size to cover the door into the enclosed run. That will still provide plenty of light, even if I use conventional tarps to cover much of the remaining area of the run.The clear vinyl tarp definitely feels thicker than a traditional tarp, and the edges and grommets feel VERY sturdy. Installation is no more difficult than with a traditional tarp. I use zip ties through the grommets to secure the tarp to the hardware cloth, and it definitely isn't going anywhere. If I was using this tarp as an overhang with poles, I would likely use cordage of some kind.Since the tarp is UV resistant, I have no concern about the sun breaking the tarp down too quickly. I did notice a little vinyl smell when I opened the tarp - but seeing how it is being used outdoors, I am not at all concerned about it.I look forward to using this tarp for several winters. At the reasonable price asked for it and the high quality of the tarp, I find it to be an excellent value for money.

Definitely feels heavy duty, but also appears to be the same material as a heavy duty shower curtain liner. As anyone who has used those knows, they grow mold quickly and don't last very long. That's pretty much what my perception is with this.If the reinforcement lasts more than a few months of wind, rain and maybe ice and snow, I'd be surprised. But let's put time to the test.This purchase includes a rope and some zip ties to attach it to things, I'm using it as a rain cover for a chicken coop run for fall through spring, and hoping it has the durability to make it at least that long to keep things dry while also providing light.One thing I really don't like is that the seam is sewn together with thread. It seems, pun intended, like a weak spot.
