I wanted to hang a couple of sheets of drywall to fix where I had a water leak. I'm not a drywall person so I don't have all the tools that one would need if you were a professional. The most important one is the screw gun which sets the screw at a specific depth without tearing the paper. Imagine my surprise when I looked online and found that you can buy Philips bit screws with height adjustments allowing you to drive your screw in to a specific depth and not tear the paper. Excellent define this. Saved a 100 bucks on buying a drywall screw gun that only does one thing drywall screws. As you see from the pictures the come with a snap on collar which you can adjust by adding or removing the small washers. Very easy to use and it all of my battery powered screw guns.For less than the box of screws I was able to get six bits which had depth limiters perfect for driving drywall screws. These come ready to go out of the bag and worked like a charm. The drywall Phillips screw bit was magnetic so it held the screw perfectly while I was struggling with the sheet of drywall. These are really a cost effective solution to making sure you get your drywall hung properly without tearing through the paper. The bits are quarter inch Shanks and have a bright green mark So you don't lose them in your tool bag when you pull them out. This really turned out great and was a one handed solution for a very reasonable price.Save yourself the headache and get a professional finish using these adjustable depth drywall screw setters. You can't go wrong for the price. These are compatible with any screw with a chuck or the standard quarter inch socket. I would give this 5 stars every day especially for the easy to use low cost solution for hanging small amounts of drywall. A Plus rated!

This set drove the drywall screws to exactly the right depth. The magnetic bit was super helpful trying to set screws with one hand while holding the board in place with the other. Much better than the short, slightly cheaper, set.

This is the second set of drywall screw setter sets I have purchased from this company. I was so impressed with the quality and how they worked I bought another set so when I wear my first set out I will have another set to take their place. Before using these sets I was always punching the screw through the paper and into the gypsum. These screw setters work great. You can adjust them by the washers on the screw bit. They are made so you can have a lite recess to a little deeper recess without punching through the paper. Plus these have a very strong magnet which hold the screw tight and won’t fall off the bit. Even shaking it, the magnet holds onto the screw. It’s the best purchase I have made as they do the job just as well as those expensive screw guns on the market except way more affordable. It may be slower than using screw guns but who cares if they work right.

I used these while patching a section of drywall, and they made it much easier to keep the screw heads at a consistent depth. The adjustable stop helps prevent driving screws too deep and tearing the paper, which saves some annoyance when it is time to mud and sand.
