Plugged in my Tesla charger, and suddenly my RV outlet has a new career in the EV industry.Installation was straightforward, the cover keeps the elements out, and the heavy-duty construction gives me confidence it won’t disintegrate the first time New England weather decides to throw a tantrum.Five stars. It charges my Tesla, survives the weather, and costs considerably less than buying another fancy Tesla charging setup.Would buy again. Super heavy duty in a small footprint

This product provides everything I wanted in an 'IP66' (advertised as 'IP67' within the seller's product listing) dust and water protected, NEMA 14-50R, 125/250 (120/240) Volt, 50 Amp Outlet housed within weather protected enclosure. Designed as a point of connection for Level 2 residential home EV chargers, recreational vehicle or welder, this product is perfectly suitable for connecting virtually any other equipment that utilizes a 50 amp NEMA 14-50P male plug.The outlet is clearly marked as a UL Listed Receptacle, bearing the Underwriters Laboratory logo and registration number E525056. The outlet appears to be made of the high quality thermoplastic material, with equally high quality copper electrical contacts.The 'IP66' rated dust and water resistant outdoor enclosure is designed to protect the internal receptacle from dust and high-pressure water jets when not in use. According to the label on the outlet cover, this product is NOT rated 'IP67', despite that claim being included within the seller's product listing. The different between 'IP66' and 'IP67' is significant, as 'IP66' does NOT protect against submersion.Based upon information provided by the seller, and seemingly accurate based upon my inspection, this product has an enclosure that's "... constructed from premium flame-retardant, UV-resistant polycarbonate (PC) material..." Together with high quality rubber gaskets sealing the three individual components comprising the enclosure and stainless steel screws securing them together, this product should be thoroughly sealed and rust-resistant, unlike some steel enclosures. The locking, clear plastic, flip-up style outlet access cover is secured in the closed position with a spring-loaded lock that's easily released using your fingertip.Four screw/bolt hole tabs (one at each corner) are provided on the back of the enclosure for mounting to a wall or other flat surface. To connect electrical service to the outlet, a total of five dual-diameter removable 'knockouts' are provided for connection of electrical conduit on the top (25/32mm), left (20/25mm) and right (20/25mm) sides of the enclosure. There is no 'knockout' provided on the top.English language instructions (with properly formatted grammar) are included, which provide some basic installation and wiring information. This basic documentation is in no way a suitable substitution for significant electrical experience and safety procedures when working with high voltages. Also included are four mounting screws and wall anchors, four M20x1.5 and one M25x1.5 "nuts" (they are actually "nylon strain cable glands" - which will probably not be useful for most installations) and four plastic hole plugs (used to re-seal removed but unused knockout holes).I have complete confidence that this product is a good choice for connecting any equipment that utilizes a 50 amp NEMA 14-50P male plug. I got this to replace my 30amp generator inlet plug for a 50 amp. This has worked well for my set up.The outlet feels really well made. The plastic is thick and the kit feels heavy for its size.The included box was a bit larger than what I wanted for my set up so I just used the plug top portion which was easy to unbolt from the box.After installation and testing, everything works well and the plug itself looks like it will last a good long time.I believe this is a good product and worth the price.
