Affordable Replacement Filters for My Shop VacAffordable Replacement Filters for My Shop Vac

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000, Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
A good, inexpensive replacement filter that fits my Craftsman shop vac perfectly and works as expected.Pros* Fits perfectly* Works for wet/dry vacuum use* Affordable two-pack* Easy to install* Makes it easier to replace dirty filters instead of trying to clean and reuse themCons* Does not include the foam sleeve for wet pickup* I haven’t tested filtration performance against the OEM filterI picked these up as replacement filters for my Craftsman shop vac, and they fit perfectly. Installation was quick and easy, and the vacuum works just as it should with them installed. These are advertised as suitable for both wet and dry filtration. One thing to note is that they do not come with the foam sleeve used for wet pickup, but that isn’t really a criticism of the product since it doesn’t appear to be advertised as included. If you already have the appropriate foam sleeve, you should be good to go.The biggest advantage for me is the price. I tend to try to get as much life as possible out of vacuum filters, even when they’re getting pretty dirty, because I don’t want to keep throwing them away. Having inexpensive replacements on hand means I can simply swap in a fresh filter when the old one gets full rather than trying to squeeze a little more life out of it.I can’t really evaluate whether the filtration performance is identical to the original filter, but as a replacement, it fits properly and functions well in my vacuum. For the price, I’m happy with them and would buy them again.Sorry the photo isn’t very good, but it’s supposed to show the filter fits great.

Works Great

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
These fit my RIDGID vac perfectly and work just like they should. They filter fine and haven’t caused any drop in suction or extra motor noise the way some thicker filters can.Having two in the pack is convenient for when it’s time to swap them out. No issues so far.Pros:- Exact fit on my RIDGID- Maintains good airflow- No added motor strain- Useful 2-packCons:- None yetThey’ve been doing the job without any problems.

Fits 20G, 5G is a crap shoot

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
These fit my 20G Rigid and fit just like the oem version. Seems to be same quality, works fine. Good deal for the pair. It does NOT fit my 5G Rigid though, the filter is half the length of these so check before ordering.

Quality Replacement for RidgidQuality Replacement for Ridgid

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000, Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
My 20 gallon Ridgid shop-vac is a beast! For nearly 20 years it has been there to tackle any task I’ve asked it to. I tend to only change the filter every couple of years so a quality replacement filter is a must. This VF4000 filter from YHAspace is just the thing. It is the standard filter as opposed to the upgrades of the VF5000 & VF6000. The standard is all I need and it is a good one!First, it fits perfectly. No problems putting it on or off my vac and it seals well. Also, the filter does handles wet without a problem. No danger of it getting soggy nor tearing. Many filters at this price range cannot withstand dampness like this one does. Finally, the price is right. The cost here is less than half the price of the OEM.If I have any issues I will be sure to update this review. But from the looks of it, just one of these filters should last me a couple of years.

Good functional filter for my shop vac

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
I've gone through a couple of filters already, and these have honestly been a pleasant surprise. I use them in my shop vac for everything from sawdust in the garage to cleaning up drywall dust after home projects, and they've held up really well. They fit snugly without any fuss, so I didn't have to force them on or worry about them coming loose while vacuuming.Suction has been just as strong as it was with the original filter, and they do a good job trapping the fine dust that usually ends up blowing back into the air. I also like that I can tap them out or gently clean them between jobs to get a little more life out of each one before replacing them. The only small downside is that they don't feel quite as heavy-duty as the factory filter, but in actual use I really haven't noticed any difference in performance. Considering you get two of them for the price, I think they're a solid value.I'd definitely buy these again. They do exactly what I need, fit properly, and save me some money without giving up performance.

A bit hard to muscle on the vac. slightly deformed in the box. Half the OEM cost, works as well.

I can't believe how much the OEM filters for my Rigid wet/dry vac cost these days. No joke - the same price at the same store that my vacuum originally cost on sale when I got it 10 years back. These are pricey too, but compared to the OEM you essentially get two for the price of one. These aren't HEPA or washable or anything fancy... and really you don't want any of that unless you have a very specify use. This filter style gets cakes fairly quickly, especially when friends borrow your vac and use it for water with the filter on.These are built just as poorly as the OEM. They won't last being saturated and they're not intended to. These arrived a bit misshapen as a result of the material being a vinyl rather than a rubber and the packaging being a bit too small.. The vinyl is a lot harder to get on the vac without the flange rolling or twisting, but once it's on correctly it will be more secure than the OEM - which frequently fall off when the vac is roughly handled and will blow all of the dust inside immediately back into the room you're trying to clean. These come with a pleat brush... yeah, have fun with that. If you're that intense about keeping your filter clean, just get an inline cyclone. I have one and these two filters will last me a year or more vacuuming stuff like sawdust and pulverized drywall. If you don't care about these being a bit hard to put on, they will work just fine.

Looks to be OEM quality at a much lower price.Looks to be OEM quality at a much lower price.

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000, Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
I have an older Ridgid shop vac that sees a lot of weekly use. I tend to go through these VF4000 filters fairly frequently even though I use bags in my vacuum now. So when the chance to review some cheaper non OEM alternatives came along I was happy to do it.The biggest reason to go with a non OEM Ridgid filter is of course price. Currently, these run about $13 cheaper for a pair than the OEM Ridgid pair does. So the value is there, but what about quality? From what I can see holding these side by side to the OEM, they are almost identical. Of course I didn't do any tests on actual filtering capability as I don't have the specialized equipment to do that, but during use I don't notice any difference at all either in suction or dust emissions coming out the vacuums exhaust port. As I mentioned before though I do use bags in my shop vac now though so these filters don't have to work as hard and get clogged up nearly as fast. The most important thing for me is how well do these fit? I can say that they fit identical to the OEM filters. They make a tight seal to the base of the motor and they fit firmly around the stud at the bottom of the filter ensuring the filter doesn't fall off if the vacuum is set down hard or jostled around roughly. These filters do have a greasy feeling on the black plastic/rubber parts that the OEM filters don't have so keep that in mind. I just wiped my hands off after handling them so that didn't matter to me.Overall I'd use these again but I noticed this company charges the same price for the VF6000 filter replacements so I'd just go with them for the presumably better filtering capabilities. Save your money and buy your filters from here.

Cost effective alternative to OEM Rigid filtersCost effective alternative to OEM Rigid filters

[Size: 2 Pack VF4000, Size: 2 Pack VF4000]
These VF4000 filters from YHAspace look identical to the OEM Rigid filters. The package includes two filters and a cleaning brush. They can be installed in place of the original filters without any extra steps. Once installed, they functioned as well as the OEM filters from what I can observe. The black plastic potions of the filter have some sort of greasy coating on them that the OEM filters do not have. Although they look identical to the OEM filter there was some amount of buckling in the filter material once the plastic nut attaching it to the vacuum was tightened. I don’t see this as a big issue as it should not interfere with the function of the filter. The filters seem to work just as good as the OEM ones and are available at a significant discount compared to the price for RIGID filters. I consider these a good buy
