For the price, this lamp should be more weighted and have a design element that makes it more secure on its feet. Yes, its fragile pieces give it a delicate look, but if you’re in a household with kids or pets, I wouldn’t recommend it. It's five-and-a-half feet tall and has a decently long cord—so too tall to place atop furniture and out of the way.The instructions leap over how to attach the globe but I did this: loosen wingnut, separate the 2 plates, slide the smaller plate inside the globe, secure the 2 outer plates by tightening the wingnut. Once powered, it provides not-bright mood lighting. The varied neutral colors in the globe are pretty and give the globe a realistic moon-feel. Okay buy if its fragility doesn’t matter.
