I put this together with all the patience, grace, and care you could expect from a guy who has a ton of stuff that needs doing and is beyond ready for some dinner. I expected a total disaster. Instead, I am shocked at how well this came out.There is enough glass and beads included in the box to spill a fair amount of them down into whatever abyss is below you and still have plenty left over to fill out the globe pretty good. I think the only thing I miscalculated was applying a little too much plaster, but once it is lit up at night, it looks really nice.I have to admit I had a lot of fun building it. This is absolutely great for all ages, including people with ADHD who want to feel like they accomplished something tangible without needing an art degree. No matter what you do or how messy you get, you end up with something pretty nice to look at in the end. Go ahead and laugh at my bead job, it is completely fine.

This is easily one of my favorite DIY kits I've received so far. The moon-shaped lamp itself is beautiful and unique before a single mosaic piece is added. I could put the clear lamp on display exactly as it is and be happy with it.I've noticed that quality can vary quite a bit with DIY kits, but everything about this one feels very nice. The lamp doesn't feel like something that was included merely to hold the craft project—the base itself is a piece of decor worth displaying.I haven't completed the mosaic yet because I'm taking my time deciding exactly how I want it to look. With something this unusual, I don't want to rush through it just for the sake of finishing it. The whole appeal of DIY is ending up with something that's uniquely yours, and this moon deserves a little planning!The beautiful crescent-moon shape is what really sets this kit apart for me. I was visually overwhelmed as I unpacked the box! Lots of small pieces of glass, glue, sand that have to be assembled onto the GRAS globe. Fortunately, I’m a very crafty and artistic person so I don’t mind a challenge. This is definitely going to take time and patience to complete. I’m sure it will all be worth it. I’m not sure this is a beginner project… and definitely not something for kids to try and do on their own (as there are many small sharp glass pieces). Great gift for the artist in your life or project on a rainy/snowy/stuck in the house day. Looking forward to seeing my final results!

I’m still in the process of making this lamp, but so far I absolutely love it! It has honestly exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the moon itself. It's made from good, sturdy material and definitely does not look cheap or flimsy.The mosaic pieces are beautiful and add such a unique touch. I really enjoy being able to arrange the colorful glass tiles and beads and create my own design. The process has been fun and relaxing so far, and I like that I can make it personal instead of just putting together something that looks exactly like everyone else’s.Everything included in the kit has also made the process much easier.
