When I got this, it was a little bent from having been folded, and between that and how the bottom of it has a little lip with space underneath, I didn't expect it to work that well. Luckily, I was wrong -- it is actually very effective with all but extreme amounts of water that would probably only happen intentionally (and even with extreme amounts, it blocks much better than nothing).The guard is very easy to apply, and it sticks well to both metal and polished granite. That means it's not the easiest thing to remove, but it's not problematically difficult. The height of the guard is just right -- not high enough to be annoying, but high enough to block most splashes.If anyone in your household is prone to messiness with water and/or hates getting their shirt wet from leaning against the counter in front of the sink, I highly recommend this guard!

Like a lot of newer homes, our sink is on the kitchen island, which means we don't have a back splash. It's annoying. Water gets everywhere. I wasn't sure how well this would work, but honestly it works really well! And man the suction cups really stick! Now we can finally stop worrying about water getting all over the back of our kitchen island while we do dishes.

Giving this silicone sink splash guard full 5 stars because it works exactly as expected to keep my countertops dry and eliminate messy splashes. It was remarkably easy to set up right out of the box, and the heavy-duty anti-slip base provides a great grip that keeps it firmly in place without leaving any residue behind. Since the material is soft, flexible, food-grade silicone, your hands and wrists stay safe from bumps while you're washing dishes or prepping food. The curved barrier effectively diverts runoff back into the basin, and cleanup couldn't be simpler—it's easy to rinse off daily, and I love that I can just put it inside the dishwasher for a hassle-free deep clean. At our kitchen sink we have a lot of water that goes behind the faucet and it tends to drench the countertop without us realizing it and then things to get sat in that area get drenched too. I’m always on the lookout for something to solve that problem so I was happy to try this out and see how it would go. It works for the most part, and definitely reduces the amount of water that gets on the counter, but doesn’t solve the problem completely. The suction cups do work great for keeping it in place, but it doesn’t hold it flush to the counter so some water seeps underneath and to the other side. It’s definitely a huge improvement and we’ll continue using it in this location because it’s still much better than how it was before, but if it were flush to the countertop, it would make a big difference. I do love that it’s silicone and washes up easily and doesn’t harbor bacteria, and the color is as shown in the photos. I still recommend it if you need something to help you with water on your countertops or as a splash guard.

This splash guard has been a really versatile tool in my home. I've used it as shown in the product page as a guard while doing dishes (those pesky spoons). I've also used it when washing my dog in the tub. Lastly, and most often, I attach this as a bumper at the back of my washing machine to keep things from falling off the back of the machine. The color is easy and plain, and the suction cups attach well to solid materials. Lastly, the silicone is durable and long lasting. Good value!
