I have a panel-type ceiling in my office, and unfortunately, some of my existing lights are starting to wear out. I needed some replacements, so I came across these flat panel lights that are designed to drop right into panel-style ceilings.These are 2-by-2-foot LED panels that produce approximately 5,200 lumens, and they have several wattage options ranging from 20 watts up to 40 watts. You also have a good range of color temperatures to choose from, anywhere from 3,000K all the way up to 6,500K, so you can get the type of lighting you prefer.Installation was pretty easy, and getting everything connected wasn't too difficult. As far as the construction goes, I think they're very solid. They're also relatively lightweight, which I actually think is an advantage when you're installing them in a drop ceiling. You don't want to put unnecessary weight on those ceiling panels.Overall, they've been working out really well. If anything, I think they're actually brighter than my old lights, but that's more than good enough for me. I'm definitely happy with them, so I'm going to give these a thumbs up.

These are an excellent replacement for fluorescent panels. The selectable wattage and color temperature give you a lot of flexibility, especially if you’re unsure what brightness or tone you’ll want in the space. While they’re labeled “dimmable,” that only applies when using separate 0–10V control wiring, which not every installation has. Still, the adjustable wattage lets you set a lower brightness during installation if needed.The frame is sturdy yet lightweight, and it drops cleanly into a standard grid ceiling with no bowing or fitting issues. I am so glad I ordered this light panel pack! I used mine in our warehouse to replace an old 2x2' fluorescent drop ceiling fixture that had a burned-out ballast and dead bulbs. I don't have a drop ceiling but yet I have found that these work very well for many different situations as long as you have at least a little DIY capability. I like how flat and flush they can be so I rig up a way to hang them from the ceiling of my garage/shop and they work really well for my purpose. They are very bright with a light that floods an area better than most normal shop lights and definitely better than traditional light bulbs. You can chain these together however I rig them up as individuals and use a plug in but there are several options as long as you are a bit creative. I have had some of these from a different company hanging for over a year now and even with daily use they haven't burned out or have any dead spots and from what I can tell, these are the exact same lights. If they do burn out, get dead spots, or have other issues I will be sure to come back and update my review.

I needed lights for my guitar photography rig that don't create shadows, have adjustable color temperature and adjustable brightness. I don't have room for a proper studio, so I needed lights that can are compact, portable, and bright enough to make a scene look like a studio.What make these perfect for my light rig make them great for a drop ceiling grid. No - really. The back panel is fairly rigid stamped steel, and the frame is extruded aluminum similar to what storm windows have. These are held together by 24 screws. These make the light modules rigid enough to spread their weight over the entire 2 x 2 length, which is better for the ceiling grid. Since the control switches are on the attached electrical box finding them to change the output is easy (just push up the adjacent fiber panel and reach over the grid).For my rig I added a switch and attached a grounded extension cord. I chose the side exit for the cord, but there are four more on the cover that could be used for a ceiling installation.To mount them to my rig I replaced the included safety tabs with aluminum brackets that hold 80/20 t-slot extrusions. The rigid construction and light weight made this possible.While I was working on this project I opened one of the panels and discovered that the light is so even and casts no shadows because they are built like a modern TV backlight, but with two sets of COB LEDs and diffusers instead of one.My first photo is a test without a proper background, but you can still see how evenly the different colors and surface textures look. The guitar has pointed corners and sharp edges, but there are no shadows on it, so I'm very pleased with these lights.

These light panels check all of the boxes on my lighting wishlist....Adjustable brightness,Adjustable color temperature,Low Energy,Slim Low profile for tight spaces,light weight to remove the load on your drop tile ceilingAttractive trim,well protected packaging.The only feature I'm unsure about is whether or not this panel is dimable through a light switch.There are several brightness settings available near the wiring hookup, but I'm unsure if a wall switch can control them.My only minor complaint is that the electrical hookup doesn't leave much space for a proper conduit clamp, but I got it to work.I would consider buying more of these but it's unlikely that it will be necessary because LED lights are known for phenomenal life spans.
