I ordered this travertine wall sconce to replace a dated fixture above the tub in my bathroom, and I'm extremely impressed with it. I wanted something that would make the space feel more stylish and upscale, and this absolutely accomplished that.The star is the travertine shade. It's thick, substantial and a beautiful ivory-beige color with the natural variation that makes stone so much more interesting than a manufactured shade. It has a genuinely high-quality appearance and doesn't look like an inexpensive imitation of a designer fixture.I was also pleasantly surprised by the overall quality. This isn't a brand I was familiar with, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but the fixture is very well made and feels substantial. It's one of those products that looks just as good in person as I hoped it would from the listing.Installation is fairly straightforward if you're comfortable installing a hardwired light fixture. If you aren't, this is definitely something I'd leave to an electrician rather than experimenting with electrical wiring.A standard light bulb is included, which is a nice touch, although I replaced it with a soft white LED bulb because I prefer the warmer, softer light in my bathroom. It looks beautiful illuminating the natural stone shade and creates exactly the atmosphere I wanted around the tub.The price is a little higher than some off-brand sconces, but after seeing the quality of the fixture and especially the substantial travertine shade, I think it's completely justified. This was a significant upgrade from my old bathroom sconce and looks far more upscale.This sconce is absolutely gorgeous and is a purchase I'm especially happy with.
