First off, there is no ground wire for the light, only hot and neutral. That in addition to the plastic socket, I don't trust it one bit. But the only reason I wanted this in the first place was for the black metal parts to swap out the stainless parts I already had. I was able to retrofit everything to the existing wires and socket just fine and now it looks so much better without sacrificing my, and my family's safety.

Our new condo had typical pendant builder qualtiy (cheap) lights. We ordered this item to replace them. They look great but now we have to get shades for them.

I think these pendant lights are a great value for the price! They're not super fancy, but they look great. If you've installed hardwired lights before you'll have no problem with these, even though they didn't come with directions. 😬 If you haven't done it before, I highly recommend someone experienced to help.When I saw "adjustable cords", I thought you could adjust them whenever you wanted after installation, (like the old lights we had hanging over our kitchen tables decades ago) but that doesn't seem to be the case. The cord is plenty long, you adjust to the length you need, then install. That does give them a lot of versatility as far as where you can put them, but they're not adjustable after the fact.The base plate is metal, the entire socket piece is plastic, but it looks metal, it doesn't look cheap at all. They have a nice, clean, modern look, but they would also be great in an industrial type decor or even a farmhouse kitchen, over an island or the sink, or even hanging from a porch ceiling, BUT...Only if your porch stays dry, it says they're NOT water resistant. You can use any style shade you like, or none, giving you countless options.You can use any regular bulb, but I LOVE them paired with Edison-style bulbs, and they have a 60 watt max.I'm very happy with these lights and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, stylish lighting upgrade.

I picked up this two-pack to add some extra light to my kitchen, and it’s been a great addition so far. The quality feels solid, and the finish looks really nice in person. Our living room ceiling has four fluorescent tile lights in the middle of the room. They offer either blinding white light or blinding amber light with no sort of moderation. They are either full on bright or it’s so dark in the living room you can’t read if the curtains are partly drawn.Enter the 2 Pack Mini Pendant Lights. Luckily, I worked as an electrician for a short time as a much younger man and simply pulled the bright white electrical wires and rerouted them through our drop ceiling to the corner where each wiring harness for the fluorescent lights now powers one of two pendant lights.These provide a nice soft amber light- similar to what I’ve seen in this whole industrial incandescent lighting scheme that pops up in coffee shops and AirBnBs sometimes. It works for us and brings some attention to a three-part painting in the corner that is mostly overlooked (and slightly crooked in this picture lol). These were very easy to wire in. You just need the tools in the second image. If you’re just replacing an older pendant set then it will be much easier, but just some basic tools will do the trick. If the DIY electrician thing is not your thing-don’t try it! Just call someone -these are a very simply install and for the price, it’s much better than what I could have got at one off the big name hardware stores. Good luck with your lighting project!
