Jumbo Crowfoot Wrench Set

There were no signs of damage to the box that this was shipped in, but the carrying case was dented on one corner and one of the plastic latches that holds the case closed was missing… And the extra piece was not in the box so it was missing before it was packaged for shipping.I haven’t had a need to use these Crowfoot Wrenches yet so I haven’t tested to see how strong they are, but the general quality looks perfectly acceptable. They’re not super finely finished or anything. It appears that they were cut out with a laser or plasma cutter to size and blackened and thrown in the case. If you’re looking for a really refined, classy looking set of crows foot extensions then this is probably not what you want. I just wanted something that would work. I don’t care how pretty they are, so they are just fine with me. Nothing fancy, but they look to be perfectly functional.… Plus, this is a fairly large set, so it covers a pretty wide range of sizes.

I don't use tools for a living, but I use tools on my numerous vehicles to know that some repair or maintenance jobs are much easier to do with the right gear. The crowfoot wrench is one of those tools that makes it much easier to get to a bolt in tight or awkward spots. Typically the bolts I use this on are blocked behind something and my ratchet extension can't reach. These crowfoot sockets are nicely made and the construction is clean and neat. I probably would coat the pieces in some protectant lubricant since this type of steel seems to get surface rust, in my experience. The sockets and extension shafts fit well and I love the sturdy case they came in. There's a large number of pieces and they come in both SAE and metric sizes. I love having an assortment of tools because it offers me options for different scenarios. Of course you can't have it all, but it's nice to know I can have an affordable get of crowfoot wrenches for when I am in a bind and need to access a bolt in a weird spot.

I just recently received these so can’t speak to how they will hold up over time. The quality and craftsmanship seems pretty on par with other non big name brand tools from here or like harbor freight. I do like that they have a case so you don’t have to dig around to find the right size and the included extensions are nice to have. I have needed some crowfoot sockets for quite some time to get those hard to reach or weird angle bolts but usually am able to get by with other tools. The sizes are true to spec and match up against the same size in other wrenches I have. No complaints for the price or quality.

Admittedly, a crowsfoot wrench isn't something most people have for hobbist automotive work.They are kind of obscure, but when you need them, you are glad you have them.The wrenchs feel very well made.Instead of being 4 sided, they also have the retaining lips that help grab onto and cover a larger portion of the bolt head as to lower the risk of damaging it.They are laser etched so you can easily see what size to grab.The Cr-v steel should hopefully be resistant to damage for long term use.While not a non-skip set, this 24pc metric set covers pretty much every size you are likely to come across, and some you probably won't, when working on your vehicle.They are very handy for getting into tight spaces that a normal wrench or socket can't fit.The set also comes with an adapter and two extensions, which is nice!Of course, they are completely compatible with whatever tools you already have.The case is really nice for organization, and transport.Just be sure to open it from the side with the indent on top so they don't all fall out of the case.I've used one so far to help remove an 02 sensor that's located in a bad spot, and no issues there so far.For $35, they will be a great value for the money if they hold up.But that price also makes me a bit nervous.I'll update after more use.

A comprehensive crowfoot set that represents good value.What’s nice about this set of crowfoot wrenches from Mumicol is that it delivers exactly what is promised. It is a remarkably comprehensive 24-piece set that offers configurations in either standard or metric measurements. In my case, this array is 8 mm up to 32 mm. And yes, it does have the illusive 10mm present—Ha!Crowfoots are extremely useful in negotiated tight spaces that might not accommodate a ratcheting socket’s standard physical proportions. But the user still benefits from the mechanical advantages surrounding a ratchet’s functions. And this set isn’t an exception to the prescription. The heads lock up well and deliver the required torque.However, where the set falls a little short is the metal quality. The manufacturer declares that this set is Chrome Vanadium Steel. But the pieces are still cast and presents like high iron. And I was not able to find the exact metallurgy configuration. But close examination reveals some unevenness in the castings and a few rough edges. These observations cause me to question how the tolerances will behave under heavy-torquing demands. I believe that in most circumstances the casual user will address, this set will likely be fine. However, professional use might be asking a bit much of the set’s build. Note: I have not abused the set in the above scenario, but working with tools a lot, I am usually able to gauge such occurrences accurately. Therefore, I caution the professionals who require precision and might be bound legally to progress accordingly.In the end, this is a nice set for the DIYer and infrequent jobs that might surface around the homestead or farm. It is strong enough for most circumstances and arrives with two extensions and 1 – 3/8" to ½” converter. Additionally, the manufacturer includes a rather stout storage case that is both organized well and hearty.I recommend this kit because it seems fairly priced in my opinion and offers good comprehension. However, note that the value is comparative. Many competitors exist, and the wise investigator will be prudent to examine what the market has to offer.Also note that because of the kit’s completeness, it presents as an excellent gift for the tool person in your life.(3 – Stars)*** Understanding my analysis scale is as follows:5 stars indicates I believe the product is completely functional and likely leans towards great, standing above similar competitors.4 stars relays that I like it but may not love it.
