This ceiling light is absolutely beautiful and has a charming vintage schoolhouse look with a modern touch. I ordered this for the kitchen in our 1930s bungalow that we’re renovating. The house has beautiful Art Deco features throughout, and this fixture fits in perfectly. It’s quite large at about 16 inches, so it will make a nice statement on the ceiling.The glass is heavy and feels very sturdy. It is definitely white, a very stark, bright white. One thing I found interesting is that the glass isn’t solid white all the way through. The thickest part is clear glass on the outside with a thinner layer of white glass inside. I’m not sure why they chose to make it this way instead of using solid white glass, but it does change the appearance a bit. Rather than having a true antique frosted milk glass look, it has a glossier, more modern appearance.That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the look you’re after. It doesn’t bother me since it’s going on the ceiling and will be viewed from below, but if you’re trying to create a strictly authentic retro look, be aware that this isn’t quite the traditional frosted milk glass appearance.It comes with everything needed for installation, and it should be a fairly quick and straightforward project. For such a large, substantial fixture, I think the price is reasonable. It’s going to look great in the kitchen and really fits the style I’m going for.

This light shade is so big and beautiful! I tried to take a closeup picture to show you how thick the glass is. The milk glass shade is really heavy! The gold flush mount part and the light final are pretty. I like that it has three lights. The milk glass + gold combination asking with the shape of the lamp shade and it's thickness just feels luxurious.My hubby said it's going to be pretty easy to put up. That's going to be a weekend project, but I want to give my first impression of the light because I am so impressed. Even my hubby is impressed with its quality and thickness. Importantly, everything we will need to put it up is provided in the box.It's packaged really well in frame-fitting foam that's perfectly contoured to the frame of the thick milk glass shutter. "Packaged with care" is an understatement! I think the way an item is packaged for its trip to you says a lot about the items value and the company. This light is packaged securely in preparation for a lot of bumps along the way. I'm very impressed with this light and the company for secure packaging. I think you will be too.
