Love this wall sconce, it’s so unique, the crystal shade is so pretty to look at whether the light is on or not. It takes an E12 bulb (candelabra size) so you have lots of options of decorative bulbs, shapes and sizes. It’s important to know that this shade is very, very, heavy so you want to make sure it’s mounted where it can hold the weight. It is a wired fixture so if replacing an existing light it may need re-inforceing. The fixture itself is finished in a very pretty satin, dark, golden brass color and very well made. Installation is an easy “diy” if you’ve done this before, (with the exception of the weight). This wall sconce when installed is so unique and quite a focal point, in my opinion well worth the price as of this review.

This sconce is BEAUTIFUL. The combination of the gold/brass finish and the large raindrop-shaped K9 crystal gives it the appearance of a much more expensive designer fixture.The crystal is really the star. It catches and refracts the light beautifully and creates gorgeous reflections around it. The 360-degree design means it looks interesting from practically every angle rather than having one obvious viewing side.The warm light passing through the crystal makes this especially nice as accent lighting in a bedroom, bathroom or hallway.One important thing to know is that you receive ONE sconce. I am so pleased to have the opportunity to review this Raindrop Brass Wall Sconce, because it is stunning in person.As an Interior Designer, I appreciate unique designs that don't look like they are out of a Pottery Barn catalog, but rather a high end lighting company's.The crystal raindrop is HEAVY and impressive--a blown glass beauty, held into a brass collar with 3 screws suspended from a thick corded wire. The square backplate is brass.This transitional style will blend into both traditional and contemporary homes. It can be used solo as a statement piece or in a grouping of 2 or 3 in a hallway, bathroom, or any place a wall sconce would hang.It's 18" long in total with the Raindrop measuring 11" , so you can plan out placement based on your J-box. This is hard wired. I don't have a power source on the place in the entry I'm going to hang this, so I'll be getting an electrician in. Can't wait!Value? high --for design and quality of material.

These are gold raindrop-shaped teardrop brass wall sconces. It looks like you’re hanging a teardrop from a wall hook, using brass or gold fixtures, as a large drop of rainwater would in reality. It’s a K9 crystal that’s very heavy, rock-solid, and very beautiful to look at. The crystal is lighted by one E12 bulbAs many of you know, the E12 light bulb is the second most popular bulb in the US. It’s also known as a candelabra bulb, with a slightly smaller base than the standard American light bulb, but you can get these bulbs in many different sizes; they’re very plentiful.The most significant thing about the lighting fixture, of course, is the beautiful crystal globe that would be admired by bypass supplies manufacturer suggest you may want to get a dimmer with this fixture. It includes one E12 bulb as well.Depending on the use, you’ll need to match the bulb's wattage and whether you want a dimmer; it’s really up to you and your design taste if you’re using them down a hallway and have a number of these lights. You probably don’t need a dimmer if you’re using the bedroom adjacent to a bed and you wanna be able to use it as a reading light as well as a nightlight; you certainly would want a dimmer you’d want. You want to be able to make the light as bright as you wish and then turn it way down when you push to retire.My factor says that it comes with a clear installation guide. If you already have an existing junction box to connect to, installation should not be difficult. But I always have some caveats about installing it yourself.First, make absolutely certain you’ve turned the power off at the circuit breaker control panel. One of the best ways to do that is to have a friend stand by the junction box with whatever lighting fixture is currently using that circuit, talking to you over the cell phone so when you turn off the circuit breaker that controls that junction box, your friend will be able to tell you that you got the right circuit breaker. You can then flush it on all three or four times just to make sure you got the right one.Second, you can’t be too safe with electrical work, even though you believe you have the right circuit breaker turned off and the junction boxes. Energize the electrical testing device and test each wire in the junction box to ensure no wires are still energized. I use one that looks like a little red pen, except that when you push the top, a little red light turns on. Well, I put it near a wire, and it chirped like a bird. I put it near a more highly energized wire it chirps twice as fast and flashes. The light flashes more rapidly. This is an important electrical safety device that most electricians carry. I recommend that you carry one too when you’re doing electrical work.Thirdly, most people don’t know how to use wire lock nuts correctly. Wire nuts are manufactured to connect your new fixture to the existing house service lines. The house service wires- black, white, and green are made of 14-gauge single-strand copper wire. The wires from your fixture are made of 28-gauge multi-strand copper wire and/or black and white, and the ground wire, which connects to the green wire, is probably a copper wire coming from the fixture.Make certain that all the wires involved have had the last half centimeter of insulation removed. Starting with the black wires, take the black wire from the house service side and the black wire from the fixture, replace the points adjacent to one another, and, pointing in the same direction, cover both tips with a wire lock nut and turn it clockwise until all are firm; mechanical and electrical connections are established. Do the same with the white and green wires, which are probably connected to a bare copper wire.Follow the rest of the manufacturer's instructions regarding threading the wires through and securing the installation plate to the junction box, then securing the base of the fixture to the installation plate, followed by an E12 light bulb, and finally the teardrop shade over the light socket.This is a beautiful picture that will enhance your home for many years to come.
