62" Mid Century Modern Vintage Lamps with Remote Control

This was one of the slightly more interesting builds I had done lately. Not necessarily complicated. Just unusual. First, I hadn't expected to need to put legs together like I did. The legs come in 3 separate pieces each. This is something that I should have expected, I guess. I would have preferred the sleek look of one long piece... like MCM would typically have been. Then there is the shade. The frame itself is also a "knock down" that needs to be assembled. So, is it going to be stable enough for our kids to be around it? Time will tell.The lumber used is beautiful. It is an attractive lamp. Stable as it stands.The fixture also comes with a light bulb that is controlled by a remote. You can use a standard bulb in it if you like but wI like the cloth covered electrical cord. It takes you back in time.The instructions are basically a blow up diagram with letters showing you what to connect where.They are not especially complicated. Like I said... just interesting and can be slightly time consuming. An extra set of hands can help make quick work of it. I tried, but did not achieve matching parts of the leg together so that they were the same color/grain. That just wasn't happening. This will likely drive me batty having three different parts per leg. So, I've decided to pass it on to a friend who complemented it. It will go well in their home.I would place this as a 2.5 out of 5 as far as complexity/difficulty/time of the build goes. Having a partner to assemble with can make it go quicker. 1 being no assembly necessary - 5 being "oops, call the electrician!"If I had known that the four legs were in three portions each before making the selections, I don't know that I would have done it.

This is a nice lamp. It's just about at the top end of what I'd be willing to spend on a lamp like this tough. It was fairly straightforward to put together. Once assembled, it's very sturdy thanks to the design of the base. I like the color options that are available using the remote, but given that there are not storage options to protect against the remote getting misplaced, you run the risk of being limited to the floor button. The finish is nice on the wood and the lampshade is just 'ok'. I'm curious as to whether replacement bulbs are available and affordable.If I were to make a couple of improvements on this lamp I would add a small holder for the remote and add a small shelf to the middle of the stand. Otherwise, it's a nice light source that doesn't overpower the room.

This lamp easily took an hour plus to put together. But boy was it worth it! It is a very handsome, sturdy, and stylish lamp! The color is lovely, it matches several different shades of wood and the lampshade really classes it up. And don’t get me started on the remote! SWOON! I’m light sensitive and this remote has all the bells and whistles you can imagine: dimming, color choice, different modes so you can easily change lighting without fiddling with a bunch of buttons. AND It even comes with a step on switch and a lightbulb. It is also totally stable, no janky pieces or leaning. If you’re willing to put in the blood sweat and tears of assembling it, it’s a great value for the end result…. That’s foreshadowing for the cons and some tips:I want to preface this with the fact that I’m one of those people who don’t follow directions. But still… the instructions are complete garbage, I would say they were gibberish, but there were no words just pictures. Meanwhile, those pictures did not actually give information that was necessary for assembly challenged me. It was exceedingly difficult to put together because one it was hard to tell which piece was which because 1. they’re not labeled and 2. I didn’t lay it out the way that I should’ve.Sooooo, notes to all future assembly people: keep each pack with each leg separated. Then assemble building your way up but matching each piece to each individual package. That will make sense to you once you open up this box which is completely overwhelming. There wasn’t even a parts list. Several of the screws did not seem to be compatible with the allen key. So make sure you have an extra one laying around. When you look at the instructions, you might think that there is a top to the lampshade like I did, there is not! It is just in the directions in the pictures. The round circle refers to the metal circle. Finally, there were several scratches on the wood pieces once it’s together you can’t really notice them all that much. All that being said, holy smokes I love this lamp! My husband and I actually argued over where to put it bc we each wanted it in our private spaces. We decided on the bedroom :) Simply stunning

It looks nice once it’s put together but I think it’s about $20 overpriced due to how much work you have to put into piecing it together. The cord dangles through the lamp which does cheapen the look as well. Overall, it does look OK and the remote is convenient but I wouldn’t buy it again for the price.

This is a great lamp! I appreciated that it was really easy to assemble (it'll probably take you about 20 minutes, and you get all of the tools needed), and the instructions were straightforward (just follow the pictures). I really liked the thoughtful touches on this product - everything fit quite well and efficiently into a surprisingly small box on arrival, there are a couple of velcro pieces so that you can attach the wires in the configuration that you want, and there's a remote that allows you dim the lights and change the setting to more cozy/yellow vs. brighter white. The pairing between the remote and the lamp worked right out of the gate so I didn't even have to do anything. My only gripe that takes off a star is that the lamp rocks back and forth just a smidge - one of the screw holes didn't perfectly align with the long screw so the two pieces weren't able to connect together tightly. But this lamp will live in a little corner of the room and won't be moved around a ton so I don't think it'll be terribly distracting. It is very lightweight, and easy to manuever!
