I was looking for something to help with the ascetics for a Wireless Access Point I've attached to my ceiling. This spot used to hold a chandelier, so I thought about trying one of these ceiling medallions. This medallion is working great in my opinion. It fits the ceiling mount for the chandelier perfectly, and the adapter I created for the Access Point to match the ceiling mount fit on great. So the installation was as easy as removing your chandelier/Access Point, verifying your screws are long enough, then reinstall the chandelier. It looks great, though a little odd with my square Access Point over the round hole. The medallion was thicker than I expected at 1-3/8", I didn't even take that into consideration. Just make sure your screws are long enough to compensate for the extra depth. It's also comparable in price to the big box stores plastic medallions, which this one feels much more like a sheet rock style material and accepts paint much more like my ceiling than plastic does.

This is very high quality foam piece. You can paint it or glue it in place as is. Installation was extremely easy.

This ceiling medallion is great for adding character to a ceiling fan or light fixture. It also covers gaps, mismatched paint or damage when your new replacement fixture has a smaller base than the original. This quickly covers any excess space or imperfection, eliminating the need for drywall / plaster repair.We used these to transition from original 1966 square recessed lights to more modern fixtures. We had to update the junction boxes of course. It worked beautifully, we are very happy with the result.This medallion is made of polystyrene foam. This is a very lightweight material. They are flat on the backside and easy to adhere to the ceiling. The decorative side is coated in a perfectly smooth finish that can be painted, gilded, etc. The medallion is 12.5" in diameter. The center is 3-15/16" in diameter.

I got this ceiling medallion to add to our bedroom, but I might grab another to put in our dining room as well. It’s perfect for getting a really custom, nice look without much effort at all. It is a foam styrofoam material like stated in the listed, so it’s really lightweight and should go up fine without additional adhesives but some liquid nails or command wouldn’t hurt. I do think it’s quite pricey for what it is. If it was $5-10 less, I think this would be a great value buy. Nonetheless, an option I see no flaws or have issues with!

I ordered this 12.5-inch round beaded ceiling medallion to upgrade a light fixture in my kitchen. I haven’t installed it yet but all the measurements are correct, and I’m very pleased with the quality and design. It’s made of high-density PU foam so it’s lightweight while still feeling sturdy and durable. It’s crack-resistant, yellowing-resistant, and waterproof. The back is flat and smooth and it can be used on flat or slightly arched ceilings. Installation seems straightforward using either mounting screws or construction adhesive.The medallion has a primed white matte finish that can be painted, stained, or gilded to match your decor. It measures 12.5 inches in diameter and works with light fixtures ranging from approximately 6.75 to 7.5 inches. I especially like the clean beaded design. It adds enough detail to draw your eye to the light fixture without being so ornate that it overpowers the chandelier or fixture itself. It would work well in just about any room.Overall, it’s a beautiful, versatile ceiling medallion that feels well made and is a good value. I would recommend it.
