We have not installed these yet, but out of the box they look really nice and high-quality. The Appearance is sleek and modern — the 3 inch gimbal design looks perfect for accent lighting. The Quality feels solid and well-made, ETL listed with low heat output and a 3-year warranty, so I feel confident about reliability. For the Value for money, you get a lot — bright yet energy saving with up to 850 lumens at only 8W!I bought these to highlight artwork and kitchen counters, and I love the Adjustability — full 360° rotation and 30° tilt to aim the light exactly where you need it, plus one light has five ambiances with the 2700K-5000K selector. The Brightness should be great at 850 lumens flicker-free, and Installation looks easy since it comes with a junction box and no housing is required. Can't wait to get them up!

I got these 3 inch recessed lights because I wanted something small and clean looking without using the bigger standard ceiling lights. The white trim blends in nicely, and the smaller size gives a more modern look.The adjustable gimbal is the part I like most. Being able to aim the light makes them more useful for highlighting a wall, artwork, shelves, or darker corners instead of just shining straight down.The 6 pack is convenient if you are doing a room, hallway, closet area, or a few accent spots at once. They have a simple look, but the angle adjustment makes them feel more flexible than basic recessed lights.Overall, I’m happy with them. They look clean, save space, and make it easier to put light exactly where I want it.

These are very nice 3-inch gimbal recessed LED lights. The overall fit and finish feels premium, especially for this style of canless recessed fixture. The gimbal action is smooth but solid, not loose or gimmicky, and the tilt range is genuinely useful.The light is listed as 8W, 120VAC input, 36VDC output from the driver, 5%–100% dimming, Type IC rated, damp-location rated, and ETL/Intertek listed. The box also lists a 40-degree beam angle and five selectable color temperatures: 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K. That adjustable CCT range is a major practical advantage because it gives you flexibility to match the room or change the feel before installation.The beam looks clean and controlled. At about a 40-degree spread, these are not ultra-narrow spotlights, but they are much more directional than a broad wafer light. The recessed optical design also helps with glare compared with flat panel-style downlights. The gimbal tilt makes them especially useful for aiming light onto walls, artwork, accent areas, or sloped/angled layouts. That said, for true wall washing from a ceiling, they still need to be mounted fairly close to the wall because the tilt angle, while useful, is not extreme.One detail I really like is the included foam gasket around the trim. That should help with air control at the ceiling plane, which is something a lot of recessed fixtures overlook. The trim flanges are also fairly generous, which gives you some forgiveness if the hole ends up slightly oversized.My biggest practical complaint is the size of the included driver/electrical box. For a small 3-inch recessed light, the box is almost the same size as the cutout. That can make installation much more difficult than it should be, because you need enough cavity depth above the ceiling to angle and push the box through the opening. With wires coming out of the box, especially from the side, it may be awkward or even impossible in a shallow ceiling cavity. Because the flanges on these lights are large, you may be able to cut the hole a little oversized to help get the driver box through, but that is still a workaround for a driver box that really seems larger than ideal for this fixture size.My other criticism is that I do not see a CRI rating listed anywhere. For lighting that may be used on artwork, interiors, or areas where color quality matters, I would really prefer to see CRI clearly specified. The lights look good, but without a published CRI number I would not assume they are high-CRI.Overall, this is a strong recessed gimbal light set with one real installation caveat. The build feels premium, the gimbal mechanism is genuinely useful, the beam is clean, the color-temperature selection is practical, and the foam gasket is a nice air-sealing detail. Just check your ceiling cavity depth carefully before installation, because the driver box is surprisingly large for a 3-inch light.

I installed three of these lights over my dining room table, spaced approximately 39 inches apart, and they do an excellent job lighting an area about 11 feet wide with an 8-foot ceiling.I paired them with a Lutron Caséta dimmer (the standard/older-style Caséta dimmer), and they dim perfectly with no noticeable flickering. The light output is very uniform, and with my spacing I don’t notice any unwanted bright or dark spots.I also really like the adjustable gimbal. The lights don’t have a huge range of movement, but there is more than enough adjustment to aim each one for some fine-tuning and get a nice, even spread across the area.Installation was very typical for a canless recessed light. The included junction boxes are relatively small, which I appreciate, and they are insulation-contact rated. They include the usual push-in wire connectors, although I replaced those with traditional wire nuts since that is my personal preference. I installed mine using 12/2 MC cable, and the box is a little tight with MC, but if you keep your connections short, neat, and compact, everything fits fine.They include a small paper template for the ceiling cutout. I used the appropriate-size hole saw instead, which worked very well. The spring clips also worked nicely and hold the fixtures securely in my approximately 2-inch-thick ceiling.Another detail I appreciate is that the metal components are properly grounded. Some similar recessed LED fixtures only have a two-wire connection to the light assembly, but these provide grounding for the metal components as well.Overall, these feel like very nice-quality lights. They don’t have that cheap, flat appearance that some canless LEDs have, the adjustable design is useful, the light output is excellent, and they work beautifully with my Lutron Caséta dimmer. I’m very happy with how the three of them look over my dining room table. The photos show the area lit with only the three new lights, no other outside light or fixtures.

These are fantastic lights. It has a little template so that you can cut just the right size hole for it to slip up inside. It’s large enough to pop the little junction box up into the ceiling. Space you do need to have a wire clamp in order to pass the wires through into the box. It has three wire connectors one for the black one white and one for the ground and these are the nice press and tight where you just poke the wire into it it clips and hold it in place and it’s set up so that you can have the wire coming in and then next wire heading out to the next one in the series there are six of them so you can have them all six on one set or in different sets. The gimbal allows for it to be adjusted and aimed in different directions and it has some really nice clamps so that you slip it up inside and then it holds it in place against the ceiling material which in most cases would be your sheet rock. Installation it depends. I’m doing new construction so it’s pretty straightforward because I’m connecting the wires in first and then I’ll be popping the gimbal’s in after I get the sheet rock in place you can select the color temperature and there are five different light settings from a warm yellow all the way up to the brightest bluish tined white. These are excellent for accent. I have several of them mounted up so that they highlight areas on the mantle on the fireplace as well as to emphasize and highlight key places where I have art on the wall.

I installed these 3 inch recessed lights while updating one of my rental properties, and they were a nice improvement over the older ceiling lighting. Installation was straightforward. The spring clips held the lights securely in place, the included junction boxes fit easily through the cutouts, and the push in wire connectors made the electrical connections simple. Once the wiring and ceiling openings were prepared, each light only took a few minutes to install. I especially like the adjustable color temperature settings. Being able to choose between warmer and cooler lighting makes these versatile for bedrooms, closets, hallways, kitchens, or other areas throughout a rental. The adjustable angle is also useful for directing the light toward a specific wall, cabinet or part of the room instead of straight down. I redid my master closet recently and wanted to upgrade the single light that was in there. I saw these recessed 3 inch lights and decided to give them a shot.I’ve had experience installing recess lighting before, and I will say these were on the simpler side of installation. The construction of the spring bars allows for easy installation and removal. The electrical box fits well within the circle cut out. The wire connectors make it very easy to install with no additional materials necessary apart from the electrical wire.The adjustable lighting settings allow for varying projects. My wife really likes the warm lighting, but these can adjust across all lighting, spectrums from warm to cool.Aside from running the wires the installation of these was pretty quick. I got six lights after cutting out the holes wiring them up to the existing wire and installing them into the ceiling took about five minutes per light.The adjustable angle, make these quite convenient for my closet projects, as I wanted to angle them a little bit more towards the clothing as opposed to the floor.The lights are very high-quality beyond what I was expecting from Amazon or Home Depot. The housing is a durable aluminum with very few plastic parts climbing confident that these will last quite a long time in the event that I get to the point that I want to change them out it shouldn’t be too hard to remove and rewire new ones.Overall, in very impressed with this product, the lights themselves were high-quality and very bright. Especially like the adjustable colors in the event that I want to change out the warm for a more natural light look. They were quite affordable for a DIY project and would recommend for anyone who is considering doing a similar project and needing smaller recessed lights.
