We bought a condo with all carpet and quickly realized we’d need to replace it with floating flooring, and while we had a little experience helping a friend with their flooring project, we’re definitely not experts. This tool was helpful for keeping gaps from developing between the planks and made it much easier to pull them together without having to take everything apart. It feels sturdy and the suction cups held well enough to get good leverage. I like that it comes with the extra pads and other little tools, which makes it more useful as a complete repair kit rather than just a single-purpose tool. Good value for a DIY flooring project, especially if you’re doing the installation yourself.

I’ve had a lot of issues with different types of floating flooring separating at the seams and forming gaps, and nothing I tried ever worked consistently. I’ve tried everything from scooting boards with the rubber grip of my shoes to tapping 2x4s wrapped in duct tape, with mixed results at best. This tool, however, was super easy to use and incredibly effective. It’s extremely heavy duty and surprisingly heavy, and once it suctions onto a board it’s basically locked in place until you release the levers. The quality feels excellent, and it comes with everything you need to handle all types of flooring whether smooth or textured. Considering how well it works and how solid it feels, I’m very happy with this product.

If you have laminate or floating flooring, those annoying little gaps between boards can make an otherwise nice floor look terrible. This tool gives you a way to shift the plank back into position without immediately pulling up half the floor.The double suction cup design provides a much better grip than trying to move the plank by hand. Once I had good suction on a clean, smooth board, I could use the included hammer to gradually move it rather than beating directly on the flooring.I also appreciate that this is a complete little repair kit. The extra sticky and felt pads, scrapers, brush, gloves, and hammer mean you aren't buying several other things just to attempt one repair.It works best on smooth flooring where the suction cups can establish a strong seal. Textured flooring can be more challenging.Overall, this is a handy DIY tool that can turn an irritating flooring problem into a relatively simple repair.

I can't personally claim to have put this flooring kit through its paces because laying laminate flooring is definitely not in my skill set! Fortunately, my boyfriend does flooring work and took this kit along for a large job where he was installing laminate throughout the entire lower level of a house.His verdict: it worked great and came in very useful. He actually ended up using almost everything included in the kit during the job.Some of the smaller items will probably need to be replaced after a few uses, but the major pieces seem sturdy enough that he expects to get several jobs out of them.For a DIYer tackling a laminate flooring project, this is a great kit to have everything together instead of realizing halfway through the job that you're missing the one tool you suddenly need. Tested by someone who actually knows what he's doing—and approved!

This kit worked better, faster, and easier than I'd expected. It saved me a LOT of time and cash by not having to hire someone to pull up multiple panels and re-close the gap. AND I was lucky because the plank I needed to move was able to move easily even though it was partially under the kitchen cabinet.BTW the Amazon Sales Page image shows the guy pounding down into the floor HOWEVER, what you need to do is pull up on the handle between the two suction cups while pounding on the angled end (at about a 45 degree angle) so that the piece of flooring slides in the direction you're pounding to close the gap. Lifting helps it be able to move, while the pounding moves it. Yes, this may be a one time use kit, BUT it will be worth it if/when it works for your floor!

Having LVP flooring, we had a few sections that over the years have pulled apart with slight gaps. This tool allowed me to knock both locations back together with ease. I was fortunate that even with texture on the floor the suctions made an impact and the adhesive pads that came with it were not required. It comes is a number of accessories, many of which I have no idea what for and I was not intent on reading about all the items. The hammer is of acceptable quality and I did use it for the job but its nothing like a true store bought hammer so more built for this job only kind of thing. There were gloves in the box and they seems excessively small and I have no idea why one would need them so they were more like the other parts.Overall the tool itself is well constructed and was perfect for the job. The hammer was made well enough to also support the needs. All the other stuff was not used but it was good that there were adhesive pads included for those floors where the suction may not work as well. For the price and the need, I feel like this is a good value. I will be sure to keep this around for any future gaps that may arise.

I was hoping this flooring repair kit would be a little more handy than it turned out to be. While it does have everything you need, I found it wasn’t quite as easy or convenient to use as I expected.That said, I can definitely see it being helpful for closing gaps in laminate or vinyl flooring. The double suction cup provides a good grip, and the included accessories are a nice bonus to have on hand for flooring repairs.The kit is well equipped with extra sticky pads, replacement felt pads, scrapers, a brush, gloves, and a hammer, so you have everything needed for the job in one package.Overall, while it didn’t quite meet my expectations for ease of use, it still serves its purpose and should be useful for anyone dealing with flooring gaps.
