Really stay in place without adhesive.

These are great! Not small like some of the brands. They really cover the stairs perfectly. I’ve had the on the stairs for about 3 weeks and they don’t lift or slide. I bought them to give my 19 year old cat more traction as she’d started missing steps and sliding down them. They stay in place and add security from slipping. She hasn’t had any trouble since placing them down. They’re easy to apply, no adhesive and easy to vacuum. I’m so glad I bought them. Highly recommend them.

I love the look of a wood staircase, but it can be a slip and fall issue. Especially when dogs are involved. Ours are either scratching the finish with their claws, or tumbling down half a flight from loosing their footing. These stair treads are a great solution. They're easy to install, although you needs to let them flatten out a few days since they're package folded in half. You also need to remove all of the backing protection so they stick properly. It's not hard, but it is tedious. I've found that if you start from the middle then lay them out toward each end, they'll lay nice and flat. You can reposition them if necessary. The sticky backing grips well, but isn't impossible to pull them up. A bonus since they can go in the washing machine if they get hopelessly dirty. When installed properly, they're soft underfoot and secure. The size is perfect, covering enough of each step to be useful while still showing some of the wood treads. I ordered the beige color and it blends in nicely with my home.I'm hoping the woven texture holds up since our dogs treat the staircase like a racetrack when going up and down it several times a day. The carpet feels durable and so far nothing has shifted, curled, or slipped, even with all that activity. These treads are a great value for something that installs fairly easily and immediately makes the stairs safer and more comfortable.

I like the color of these stair treads and they fit my stairs perfectly. The problem is they come folded in the package, so I had to lay them out flat with a heavy box on top for almost a week to try to get the crease out. While it did lessen the crease, it's still there on some of the treads. I am hoping it will go away with continued pressure. I have stood on them, tried to use an ironing like motion with 10lb weights, and left the weights on the treads to try to remove the crease. There is no way anyone can install these in "5 minutes or less". After cleaning each stair, you have to remove the backing on each tread, which is quite tricky. The thin plastic backing is sewn into the trim of the tread and it rips easily so it's hard to remove it in one piece. Once off, line up the tread and press it into the stair from the center out to try to remove the crease, then stand on it and slide your feet around to make the tread stay flat. Overall the tread sticks nicely, but the crease in the middle and the corners tend to stick up a little instead of laying flat. I would say at least 5-15 minutes per tread that you are installing.Overall though, I like the ways these look and feel. Once on, they do feel very solidly stuck and I do not worry about slipping like I do on plain wood stairs. The pattern looks like it is a rough basket weave, but it is actually very smooth and soft and adds a bit of cushion to each step.

Look very nice but the corners don’t stay adhered to the stair tread.
